JOB DESCRIPTION: Tompkins Cortland Community College seeks a dynamic and engaging full-time tenure track faculty member with a focus on student success and retention. Position includes 15 credits per semester in Accounting courses in our Accounting AAS and Accounting AS programs. This may involve teaching students in first and second-level accounting courses including Financial, Intermediate, Cost, Managerial, and Income Taxation. Teaching may involve face-to-face, remote, day, evening, online, hybrid and HyFlex courses. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to maintain, develop, and update course curricula and work on and possibly lead initiatives for future development. Other activities will include student advising, serving on college committees, holding office hours, and outcomes assessment. This position is within the Faculty Association Union. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides coordination and support for Baker Center for Learning (BCL) services promoting access and academic success for students with disabilities. Acts as one of the College's designated contacts for determination of appropriate academic adjustments and auxiliary aids and services for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include skilled social justice model interviewing of students; interpretation of psycho-educational, medical, and other disability-related documentation; evaluation of academic adjustment/auxiliary aids and services needs; coordination of appropriate academic adjustments, coaching, advising, and other direct services; training for staff; and program development to address diverse student learning needs. May be asked to act as the College’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (504) Compliance Officer.

POSITION OFFERED: Career Navigator

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Career Navigator is a passionate and resourceful advocate for students and actively leads and contributes to further improve graduation, retention rates, and career placement of students and alums at Tompkins Cortland Community College, with a special focus on supporting students participating in the Increasing Tourism Career Pathways initiative through the Appalachian Regional Commission. 

The Career Navigator manages a caseload of students by providing academic, career, and personal support and will work closely with participating regional employers sponsoring the students in this program. The position will support students both on campus and onsite at partner employers, with the majority of time spent in the field.

The Career Navigator will support and advise students through the program and provide guidance for students to continue on a career path in the tourism industry. This position reports to the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education and collaborates closely with all members of the Workforce Development Career team, Student Services, as well as members of faculty and Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and regional employers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with a background in secondary education, higher education administration, employer relations, direct client support, social work, counseling, or special education is required. A demonstrated sensitivity to understanding the needs and concerns of a diverse student population--including legal system-involved populations, first-generation college students, adult students, and underrepresented populations--is essential to the hired candidate’s success. One to three years of professional experience in a direct support role in advising, coaching, counseling, teaching, or consulting. Excellent oral and written communication and strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal and organizational relationships. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused, detail-oriented environment. Excellent leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently, determine priorities, and meet multiple deadlines. Willingness to travel regionally.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration, Higher Education Leadership, or related degree program. Demonstrated professional experience in a higher education setting focusing on student success and/or advising. Proven experience leading collaborative efforts between multiple constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, and local community members. Understanding of student career development and employer relations best practices. Knowledge of student information systems, such as Slate and Brightspace, and familiarity with online career platforms such as Handshake.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Vice President of Enrollment Management is the College’s chief enrollment professional who provides leadership, strategic thinking, and in –depth analysis for the College’s enrollment planning and management.  This person is expected to help reimagine and lead traditional enrollment functions in a modern 21st century context. This work will be driven by the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive and vigorous strategic enrollment management plan.  Leads and manages Admissions, Recruitment, Strategic Marketing, Media and Public Relations, Workforce Development and College Now program.  In addition, this position collaborates closely with the Provost’s Office on the Global Initiatives program to ensure that recruitment strategies maximize student outcomes and advance the goals of the College.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible to the Vice President of Student Affairs & Senior Diversity Officer for the development, implementation and management of the campus safety and law enforcement programs of the College; including the protection of persons and property on campus, safety and security planning for the campus and College satellite locations, compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, supervision of department peace officers and civilian staff, and acting as the primary liaison with local law enforcement agencies, courts and the County District Attorney’s Office.

This position is within the Professional Administrators Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years of experience in the field of law enforcement, at least three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Must be certified and maintain certification as a campus peace officer or police officer in New York State; New York State DCJS Supervisory certification and possess a valid New York State driver’s license. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: College law enforcement and college supervisory experience.

EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE:  $81,023-$121,534  Salary subject to change pending outcome of Professional Administrators Association negotiations. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a College employee, this appointment includes NYS retirement benefit options with a choice of a pension or generous employer match to a 414 retirement plan, attractive Health Care options with 80% of premiums covered by the College, post-retirement health insurance and supportive work-life balance with 16 holidays, 20 vacation and 12 sick days per year along with tuition assistance and ability of application to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) in addition to other benefits offered by the College. JOB DESCRIPTION: Leads fundraising and private philanthropy in support of the College and its students. Manages and facilitates the work of the TC3 Foundation Board operations and development in accordance with Board bylaws, applicable laws and regulations, and best practices. Manages and executes development operations including cultivating and soliciting individual donors, prospect research, researching and writing proposals and foundation grants, developing and managing campaigns, alumni outreach, and special events. Serves as the development officer for all private philanthropic activity of the College.

This position is within the Professional Administrators Union and reports to the President. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience, including direct responsibility for cultivation, stewardship and service of donors, customers or clients, and documented track record of success with achieving results and goals. Two years of supervisory experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional experience in higher education or non-profit organizations.

EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE:  $72,778-$109,166  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
