JOB DESCRIPTION: Full-time faculty position in an Associate Degree Nursing Program. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty engaged in team teaching and shared decision making in a concept based, integrated curriculum. Position requires classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching, committee responsibilities, student advisement, and other duties assigned by the Provost. This position may include teaching during evening hours. Teaching may involve teaching face-to-face, remote, day, evening, online, hybrid, and HyFlex courses.
This position is within the Faculty Association Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Nursing and a minimum of two years of recent clinical experience required. Strong medical-surgical nursing and classroom teaching background, a demonstrated commitment to fostering partnerships among diverse communities, as well as experience working in a multicultural setting with a diverse student population, including non-traditional and under-prepared students, are highly desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management Systems works under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management Systems and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day enrollment operations across the campus. In addition to managing daily operations, this position supports systems integration initiatives and future development projects. The Assistant Director leads the coordination of operational processes such as document and data imports, oversees inbound communications through the Slate inbox, and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of data clean-up tasks, including duplicate record consolidation and managing bounced emails.
This role is responsible for maintaining and improving documentation and continuity across operational processes, procedures, and current business practices. The Assistant Director also collaborates with various campus departments, including marketing, student success, admissions, financial aid, student accounts, athletics, CollegeNow (concurrent enrollment), International/ Global Initiatives, and workforce development, to support communications and campaign development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in a related field (higher education, K-12, government or non-profit, peer coaching, an internship in a related field, etc.) are required, or an Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; Ability to work evening and weekends as needed for program support; must have reliable transportation for site visits, etc.; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, video-conferencing programs, and cloud-based file sharing. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and being a self-starter are critical for success. This role takes a hands-on approach to troubleshooting functional, process, and system issues and managing these through resolution.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Student Information Systems is preferred. Experience with PowerCampus (or other Ellucian products) and experience with Slate is preferred. Knowledge of customer relationship management databases is preferred. Looking for detail oriented and highly organized individual with the ability to manage day-to-day enrollment operations processing needs and the desire to continue to enhance and evolve existing processes.

POSITION OFFERED: Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer
EMPLOYMENT DATE: ASAP
JOB DESCRIPTION: Immediate opening at Tompkins Cortland Community College. The Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer is responsible for the overall safety program for Tompkins Cortland Community College and its affiliated properties. The individual manages, develops and coordinates safety standards and training to ensure compliance with safety programs throughout the College. The work involves providing advice on accident prevention and occupational health concerns to management and employees. The Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer identifies areas of vulnerability related to safety hazards, promptly investigates accidents to determine the cause and recommends preventative measures for the future. Work is performed in accordance with policies and objectives outlined by the Director with wide leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in applying policy to specific cases. The Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all state, local and national standards are met. The Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer may assist Campus Police as requested. The Campus Environmental Health & Safety Officer reports to the Director of Facilities. The incumbent will perform all related duties as required. This position is within the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(a) A total of 60 credit hours of college education, with an emphasis in Environmental Health and Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety or other related areas AND three-years previous work experience in the safety field; OR
(b) Graduation from high school AND five years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety, safety training, occupational safety or closely related field; OR
(c) Any combination of training and experience equal to or greater than that described in (a) and (b) above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Certification for RCRA hazardous material handling and disposal within 1 year of the date of appointment and continuing certification for the term of employment.
EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: $31.33/hr. St. Lawrence University invites applications for a Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will apply accounting principles to complete daily, monthly, and yearly accounting tasks to support the Business Office in producing accurate and complete financial reports.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, process and analysis of monthly and year-end accounting entries for assigned areas of responsibility such as auxiliary operations, foreign programs, fixed assets.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts (deferred gifts, clearing accounts, inventory, liability, deferred revenues etc.); create and post accounting entries as required.
- Administer non-student accounts receivable or loans receivable including billing and collection functions.
- Provide backup for payroll manager during vacation or other absence periods.
- Review agency account balances. Perform analysis on overspent accounts and communicate with departmental staff to bring the accounts into balance.
- Work collaboratively with other departments across campus to ensure GAAP Compliance.
- Prepare annual IRS tax reporting statements (e.g. 1042s, 1098 mortgage interest statement) and be knowledgeable of reporting rules to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the fiscal year-end close process and related audit workpaper preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This is an on-site position in Canton, N.Y. with the potential for hybrid/remote flexibility. The salary range is $62,000 - $65,000 annually.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 2 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of general accepted accounting principles.
- Excel proficiency.
- Must be able to maintain discretion when working with highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptions to these minimum qualifications may be made for candidates with unique credentials, which may include those listed under the “preferred qualifications”.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in higher education and/or non-profits.
- Knowledge of payroll policies and basic understanding of state and federal employment laws.

- Strong prioritization skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to use financial systems and information.
