Description

As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. You will provide these interventions by telephone and on-site mobile visits and will implement them using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective, including the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.

Responsibilities:

Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).

Schedule/Shift:

Fulltime; 5 days a week 8 hour shifts or 4 days a week 10 hour shifts
Weekend and holiday expectations
When scheduled for a weekend shift your schedule will be 5, 8 hour shifts for that week

Requirements and Education:

Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience required
LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC – LP or MSW-LP licensure required
MSW -LP holders must be license eligible and willing to apply for a limited permit upon hire.
MHC- LP holders must already have obtained their limited permit and be close to finishing required clinical hours
Willing to pass and obtain licensure within 3 months of hire - Required
Must have a valid NYS Drivers License and be willing to travel to clients' homes and communities under a variety of circumstances and weather conditions.
Must be willing to work in many settings, including clients' homes and other community locations where there may be pets, cigarette smoke, and other irritants.

Job Summary	Incumbents are hired on an if/when needed basis during events at the Houston Field House. Representative assignments include: Parking Lot Attendant: Sell lot spaces, and keep supervisor apprised of any problems or issues that arise. Usher: Assist patrons entering and exiting the building with seating, directions, etc.. Enforce Field House rules regarding blocking aisles, no smoking, no alcohol, etc., and keep supervisor apprised of any problems or issues that arise. Zamboni Driver: Operate zamboni ice resurfacer as required; Assist in ice making operations, maintain ice and repair damaged ice; Clean locker rooms after use, check for and report damage in locker rooms; clear lockers. Box Office Clerk: Assigns seats and sells tickets using an automated ticket system. Processes cash, credit cards and check sales. Balances cash drawer and maintains appropriate sales records. Answers telephone calls and assists patrons with information. Ticket Taker: Take ticket from patron, check validity. Provide verbal directions and information as required and requested. Maintain order and traffic flow of patrons entering the building. Keep supervisor apprised of all problems and issues that arise. In the event of an emergency, assist patrons exiting the building. At the end of an event, assist patrons exiting the building, maintaining an orderly flow of traffic. Sound Technician: Set sound equipment, including headsets, level sound booth in sync with announcer, canned music, and live music. Trouble shoot sound problems throughout event. Secure all sound equipment after event.
Minimum Qualifications	All positions require superb customer service skills and ability to follow directions, and the ability and willingness to comply with safety rules and procedures to ensure personal safety and safety of others. Job Summary	Position Title: Lecturer Position Duties: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY invites applications for a Lecturer in the Cognitive Science Department. This position will prepare and teach relevant undergraduate and graduate courses, including psychology courses, during the academic year, as needed. Within this framework, topics such as mnemonics, pattern recognition, attention, computer simulation, reasoning, and the relationship between culture and thought are discussed. • PSYC 4410: Sensation & Perception: This course will focus on the physiological and neural mechanisms underlying sensation (sight, hearing, and touch), the qualitative aspects of human perceptual experience, and how perception and action are interconnected. Job Summary	The Alumni Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and managing a variety of alumni programs, specifically chapter programs and activities for Rensselaer alumni, parents, and friends. These activities include chapter leadership and volunteer committee development and succession planning, development of regional alumni events, and event-planning and coordination with IA staff. Job Summary	Endowed Constellation Faculty in Future Chips at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for the Future Chips Constellation endowed chaired faculty positions. A constellation at Rensselaer consists of an interdisciplinary team with a clear research focus led by a group of Senior and Junior faculty members, with collaborations across the campus. The ideal candidates are expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded, scientific program in chip technology for the future of computing. The Future Chips Constellation will be a key stakeholder in the Center for Materials, Devices, and Integrated Systems (cMDIS) which houses the Microscale and Nanoscale Cleanroom and the Nanoscale Characterization Core. Applicants must possess an outstanding record of research accomplishments and a strong commitment to teaching. At minimum, candidates must have a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, or science, or an appropriate field for their proposed research, along with the ability to demonstrate, based on their record, promise of future distinction in scholarship and education. Successful candidates will have duties that include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, developing and maintaining robust programs of research and scholarship, and service to their department and to Rensselaer. We seek highly collaborative applicants with strong technical vision and a focus on emerging 21st century technologies and challenges.
