Correction Officer - Transfer/Reinstatement Opportunity

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is currently seeking transfer/reinstatement applicants to fill vacant Correction Officer positions.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR A TRANSFER/REINSTATEMENT, eligible candidates must have already taken and passed the New York State Civil Service examination for Correction Officer. You must have received a permanent appointment from an established eligible list, and you must have passed your probationary period in order to apply.

Salary Range: $23.64 - $28.93 per hour.
