Electronics Manufacturing Specialist

Who You Are

You are a competent electronics manufacturing professional with a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing techniques, quality control processes, and industry standards. You are capable of operating PCBA manufacturing equipment, including Surface Mount, Through-Hole, and auxiliary equipment in support of rapid prototyping and low volume production. You are exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and thrive on streamlining and enhancing processes and procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Pick & Place Programming, Operation, Calibration, and Maintenance.
  • Fine-pitch rework/assembly soldering under a microscope
  • Reflow Oven Profiling, Operation, and Maintenance
  • Screen Print Setup/Profiling & Operation and Maintenance
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as necessary to perform inspections with and without the use of a microscope
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure that electronic products are manufacturable and meet design specifications
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and customer requirements
  • Conduct inspections and testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
  • Stay informed about industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electronics manufacturing
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in electronics manufacturing and assess their potential application to improve processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation per manufacturing processes and quality control procedures

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on electronics manufacturing experience
  • Strong familiarity and ability to adhere to IPC 610 and 620 classes 1, 2 and 3
  • ISO-9001 experience (preferred)
  • Supervisory experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of ESD practices
  • Skill in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality

Requirements:

  • Professionalism representing AED when interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and the public
  • Organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time while programming manufacturing equipment, or training technicians to perform these tasks
  • Use of a microscope while performing quality inspections of solder and component placement on PCBAs
  • Regularly walk, stoop crouch, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by AED now or in the future
