POSITION OFFERED: Admissions Advisor
EMPLOYMENT DATE: ASAP TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Renewable, Full-Time, 12-Months
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting in the implementation of the College’s comprehensive strategic enrollment management and recruitment plans. Conducts school visits and works with school counselors to identify, promote, recruit, and enroll students to the College. Provides information to applicants and others on the College’s admissions criteria, academic programs, career and transfer opportunities, and student services. Works with students, parents and guardians, faculty, staff, community groups, and special populations regarding admissions. Requires extensive recruitment travel.
This position is within the Professional Administrators Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree with one (1) year of work experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required, and maintenance of driving record is required per college driver requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to meet the travel requirements of the position, which requires frequent and overnight travel to off-site locations. Efficient oral and written communication skills. Strong organization skills, independent judgment, professional maturity, and attention to detail. Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate as part of a team with individuals, departments, and organizations.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in higher education, college admissions, or a sales and/or recruitment-related position. Experience working with Technolutions Slate or other CRM tools. Demonstrated ability to work on simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: $58,458-$65,866 Salary subject to change pending outcome of Professional Administrators Union negotiations. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a College employee, this appointment includes NYS retirement benefit options with a choice of a pension or generous employer match to a 414 retirement plan, attractive Health Care options with 80% of premiums covered by the College, post-retirement health insurance and supportive work-life balance with 16 holidays, 20 vacation and 12 sick days per year along with tuition assistance in addition to other benefits offered by the College. POSITION OFFERED: Accounting Faculty
EMPLOYMENT DATE: January 21, 2025 TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Renewable, Full-Time, 10-months
JOB DESCRIPTION: Tompkins Cortland Community College seeks a dynamic and engaging full-time tenure track faculty member with a focus on student success and retention. Position includes 15 credits per semester in Accounting courses in our Accounting AAS and Accounting AS programs. This may involve teaching students in first and second-level accounting courses including Financial, Intermediate, Cost, Managerial, and Income Taxation. Teaching may involve face-to-face, remote, day, evening, online, hybrid and HyFlex courses. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to maintain, develop, and update course curricula and work on and possibly lead initiatives for future development. Other activities will include student advising, serving on college committees, holding office hours, and outcomes assessment. This position is within the Faculty Association Union. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate to New York State at time of employment. Additionally, maintaining New York State residency will be required for the duration of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Accounting or a Master’s Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Accounting. Successful candidate must have college teaching experience.

Ability to integrate modern instructional technology into classes and to create a student-centered and active learning environment. This position requires the ability to work supportively in a culturally diverse environment of students, faculty, staff, and the community. Candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working with multi-lingual learners and historically under-served students and/or communities through teaching, mentoring, or administration are especially encouraged to apply. Bumblebee Painters is currently hiring for year round, full time painting positions. Experience with exterior or interior painting is preferred, but we will train those without experience. Work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Typical tasks include scraping, sanding, caulking and painting. Working on ladders will be required to perform job duties. Work sites will be throughout Tompkins County and reliable transportation is required with a valid driver’s license preferred. Starting pay is $18-$23 per hour depending on work experience and skill set. All necessary tools and materials will be provided. We also offer sick time, incentive pay, a SIMPLE IRA with employer match, and paid holidays. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Educational Opportunity Programs and Assistant Diversity Officer DEOP/ADO) will work closely with and report to the AVP of Student Services and Senior Diversity Officer (AVPSSSDO) to implement best practices related to equity, diversity, justice, and inclusion (EDJI) Plan. The DEOP/ADO will provide leadership and advocacy for the overall administration of EOP, including supervision, planning, data management, reporting, program development and implementation, budget management, and program assessment. The DEOP/ADO is also accountable for EOP program student recruitment, enrollment, and retention initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness through a coordinated, collaborative and integrated approach. Additionally, the DEOP/ADO will represent the College to groups and organizations in the larger community regarding the interests related to program success. Responsibilities also include assisting EOP students in their transition and development as students at the College and directing them to additional resources.
