Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc. is seeking experienced Waterproofing Estimators to join our team. We are a leading company in waterproofing. We specialize in architectural terra cotta, stone masonry, concrete repairs, joint sealants, expansion joints, waterproofing, elastomeric coatings, penetrating sealants, and firestopping.

As a Waterproofing Estimator at Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc., you will be responsible for estimating costs and preparing bids for waterproofing projects. You will work closely with project managers and clients to accurately assess project requirements and provide competitive bids.

Responsibilities:

• Review construction drawings and specifications to determine our scope of work
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate bidding
• Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates
• Prepare detailed proposals, including labor costs, material expenses, and timelines, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new clients
• Communicate with potential clients regarding bid details and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and pricing changes
• Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing quality assurance controls in the estimating process. Promptly report changes and issues in scope and revenue to senior management
• Identify and execute strategic opportunities within the proposal to optimize Gorman Moisture Protection, Inc.’s position in securing the work

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating or related field (waterproofing experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction processes and materials required for waterproofing projects
• Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand, and follow required construction documents.
• Proficient in construction estimating software (BlueBeam, eTakeoff, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project)
• Outstanding communication abilities, both in writing and speaking, alongside robust numerical and analytical skills
• Strong leadership attributes
• Excellent organizational skills
• Skilled in building and sustaining productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers
• Knowledge of cost management techniques, as well as principles related to finance and project oversight
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
