Full time optometric technician needed for a very busy practice.

• Pre-testing and special testing of patients (such as visual field tests, photos, visual acuity, color vision testing, stereopsis, lensometry)
• Contact lens training

• Preparation and cleaning of exam rooms and equipment
• Insurance verifications and billing
• Clerical duties (such as answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, referral assistant, maintenance of patient data)
• Knowledgeable about products and services offered

Requirements:

• Computer literacy
• Handles complex situations and patient issues with tact and patience
• Respect for patient confidentiality
• Aptitude for technology and resourcefulness in troubleshooting equipment malfunction
• Enthusiastic about the latest products and services in eye care
• Teamwork skills

This position will work in conjunction with the doctor and team to facilitate, support and maintain optimum patient care. Accuracy and attention to detail are very important. This position is responsible for collecting and inputting clinical data necessary for the visual health and performance of the patient. This position responsible for chair side assistance, including but not limited to, scribing for the doctor during the patient exam.

Salary negotiable based on experience
