Job Summary | The Department of Science & Technology Studies (STS) in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks a tenure track/tenured Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Community Engagement and Community-Based Research and whose research and teaching is grounded in Science and Technology Studies (STS). The successful candidate will extend the STS research portfolio in the areas of public understanding of science, citizen science, community-based participatory research, participatory action research, participatory design, and/or public engagement in science and technology policymaking. They will teach required courses for the majors in Science, Technology, and Society; Design, Innovation and Society; and Sustainability Studies, as well as the PhD program in Science and Technology Studies. The position is 40% teaching, 40% research, 20% service. |
Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Science and Technology Studies or a related field, such as Sociology, Anthropology, Design Studies, Geography, or Media Studies. Applicants must have knowledge of, commitment to, and expertise in community engagement and community-based research. Candidates must also be able to present evidence of effective teaching, and have the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. We seek a scholar who will contribute to the STS Department’s broader commitments to socially engaged STS and design of alternative futures. STS features a wide range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary researchers, including historians, sociologists, anthropologists, political scientists, and media studies scholars. Scholarship that takes into account perspectives from marginalized communities and pedagogical practice that values diversity and inclusivity will be prioritized. Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Job Summary | The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, is amid a planned multi-year renewal of its faculty and mission. As part of this renewal, we seek applications for the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Endowed Chaired and Tenured Full Professorship in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer. Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Part-time. This is a ten month term position.
Supervisor: Director of Athletic Communications
Position Purpose: Assists the Athletic Communications Director and Assistant Athletic Communications Director with the promoting and publicizing of athletic events, teams, and athletes to enhance the organization's brand and engage with fans, media, and the public.
This is ten month term position. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus college housing and a residential meal allowance which includes a partial meal plan available for use when the dining halls are open during the fall, winter, and spring trimesters.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Content Creation: Creates engaging and compelling multimedia content, such as videos, graphics, and photos, to enhance storytelling and promote the organization. Produces written content for various communication channels, including websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and publications. Collaborates with designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality content.
- Social Media Management: Develops and implements social media strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness. Monitors social media platforms, responds to comments and messages, and manages online reputation. Analyzes social media metrics and generates reports to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Strategy: Develops and implements strategic communication plans to promote athletic events, teams, and athletes. Identifies target audiences and creates tailored messaging and content to effectively reach them. Coordinates with internal stakeholders, such as coaches, athletes, and administrators, to gather information and stories for communication purposes.
- Team Development and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to Union Athletics initiatives, decisions, communications, and other activities. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of communications trends and innovations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field and experience working in a collegiate Athletic Communications and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $15.50. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to the hourly rate, compensation includes college housing and a student meal plan.

Job Summary | The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences (E&ES) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for one open rank, and one assistant level tenure-track/tenured position, both in Earth Systems Science. Research areas in the E&ES Department currently include experimental, analytical, and environmental geochemistry, petrology of Earth’s systems, biogeochemistry, astrobiology, geomicrobiology, and modern and ancient climate change. We are seeking applicants whose research will complement and grow these strengths, and whose research programs address fundamental problems in Earth Systems science, including, but not limited to: 1. Natural systems and environmental geochemistry, global change, critical zone science, soil science, environmental mineralogy. Any candidate with a computational approach in the above research areas is also encouraged to apply. The successful candidates will have duties that include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, engaging in the Geology and Environmental Sciences undergraduate degree programs, developing and maintaining robust programs of research and scholarship, and providing service to the department, the School of Science, and to Rensselaer. Position Purpose:
Plays a pivotal role in advancing fundraising endeavors at Union College by engaging in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors capable of making significant financial contributions ranging from $20,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 to bolster the institution's mission and strategic objectives.
Develops and executes strategic plans aimed at optimizing each donor's support of the College, collaborating with the Director, Vice President of College Relations, President, Senior Administration, and Faculty as appropriate to nurture robust relationships with the College.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Relationship Management: Proactively establishes opportunities for face-to-face interactions to cultivate, solicit, and steward a designated portfolio of 100-150 current and prospective donors, adhering to industry best practices. Develops detailed cultivation and solicitation plans annually for the top 25-50 donor prospects, incorporating opportunities for current use pledges and planned giving to drive philanthropic engagement. Nurtures enduring relationships with major donors by delivering exceptional stewardship and personalized engagement experiences.
- Knowledge of Union: Cultivates a comprehensive understanding of Union’s history, academic, extracurricular, and athletic programs, along with familiarity with faculty, students, and administration. Maintains a deep awareness of the College’s priorities and initiatives, translating them into fundraising opportunities, while staying informed about trends and developments in higher education as an industry.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborates closely with campus stakeholders to ensure synergy with fundraising priorities, fostering a cohesive approach toward advancing the College's overarching mission. Aligns efforts with the division’s goals and strategies related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and anti-racism, fostering a culture of collaboration and collective impact. Partners closely with colleagues across all advancement departments to achieve integrated advancement operations, leveraging this synergy to increase alumni participation in fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of two years of experience fundraising in a higher education setting is required.
- A valid U.S. driver license is required.
- Proven experience cultivating and closing major or deferred gift commitments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational acumen essential for effective planning, gift documentation, and project execution.

Major Gifts Officer: The annual salary range for the Major Gifts Officer is $70,000.00-$80,000.00.

Job Summary | The Network Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for complex, enterprise-wide services including the design, development and maintenance of campus network infrastructure. The Network Engineer leads complex projects that often include individuals from different departments or portfolios and leadership. This position collaborates closely with other technical and IT leadership positions providing high-level guidance, mentoring and training including helping to develop other technical employees. |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of relevant professional work experience including formal training in information technology and network design. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience supporting Higher Education environment |

Job Summary | The Clinical Case Manager is part of the multidisciplinary, integrated Rensselaer Student Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as an Institute-wide priority. The Clinical Case Manager provides developmentally appropriate services through Clustered Learning, Advocacy and Support for Students (CLASS), with a focus in three main areas: 1) clinical case management, 2) consultation and referral services, and 3) outreach and prevention education. |

Job Summary | The Sr. Prospect Management Analyst applies their strong data, business intelligence and prospect research skills to coach fundraising staff to be able to maximize their productivity. The Sr. Prospect Management Analyst contributes to the division’s focus on portfolio optimization to improve fundraising performance. Using business intelligence and prospect research tools, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst supports Institute Advancement’s efforts to prioritize prospects within an individual fundraiser's portfolio. In this varied, cross-functional role, Sr. Prospect Management Analyst is expected to deliver innovative solutions through synthesizing prospecting strategies and management processes together with enriched data-driven analyses. |

Representative Job Duties | Some of the duties for this position include: Lead regular meetings with individual fundraisers to review prospect data, identify opportunities to advance cultivation, assess performance on overall goals, and progress within individual prospect portfolios. Guide individual fundraisers and development staff by providing recommendations for potential major donors for cultivation and solicitation. Analyze data to help drive prospect discovery and prioritize the top prospective donors for qualification by development staff. Create lists on an ad-hoc basis as requested by prospect development team members or fundraising partner to support fundraising initiatives by incorporating the use of database segmentation analysis, external resources, electronic screenings, and peer-review/focus group results. Assist in managing pipeline and goal reporting for the campaign and ensure progress toward annual goals is documented and continually updated for major, principal, and capital fundraising outcomes in close collaboration with fundraising staff. Collaborate with various teams across the division to gather input for refining prospect portfolios. Contribute to the division's focus on improving fundraising performance through effective portfolio optimization. Utilize business intelligence tools to assess and enhance the composition of fundraisers' portfolios. Analyze fundraiser portfolio activity to evaluate the success of outreach strategy. Conduct in-depth data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in prospect management. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes and refine prospecting strategies. Assist in the maintenance of fundraiser portfolios and discovery pools, including through the use of batch upload tools. Educate frontline fundraisers in applying analytics toward achieving their individual goals. |
