Clinician – Fee for Service
Schenectady, NY
MSWs with their Limited Permit are eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus!
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7,500 signing bonus!
Must be working 20 or more hours per week to qualify for the bonus
As a Clinician, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the underserved populations in our community by providing clinical counseling to individuals, families and couples in an outpatient mental health clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). You will report to the Director of the Behavioral Health Center. Sessions may be conducted in the office or via Tele-mental Health as clinically indicated.The pay is $40 - $54 depending on licensure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients aged birth to 65, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individual and family therapy services to those assigned to caseload.
- Create initial treatment plans, subsequent treatment plan reviews, progress notes for each scheduled appointment, and other documentation/assessments as indicated.
- Collaborate with on-site prescriber, other medical and mental health providers, schools and any other community supports for client care.
- Attend Behavioral Health Center staff meeting twice a month.
- Attend and participate in Supervision; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly based on licensure level or individual needs.
- Provide referrals and linkages to community supports, resources, and services.
Requirements and Education:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselor.
- Experience in human services, case management, line staff at a residential program, or any other related direct care within human services, both pre and post master degree, will be considered.
- License and/or Limited Permit eligible, have a limited permit in discipline or Fully Licensed (LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R), preferred.

Description
As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administrative and programmatic oversight of a Foster Care team. You will oversee staff, the foster families associated with the office and maintain agency resource relationships within the counties the foster care program supports. You will report to the Director of Foster Care and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise multistage foster care treatment teams in areas of intake and ongoing treatment planning for foster youth and foster families.
- Ensure the diligent efforts made to reach permanency of foster children in placement.
- Coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team comprised of permanency care managers, and clinical and nursing departments to fulfill these goals of permanency, safety, and wellbeing for our children in care.
- Provide regular supervision and complete performance evaluations of program staff such as Permanency Care Managers, Family Support Workers, and Administrative Assistants in the program.
- Work with the Local Department of Social Services to fulfill contracted services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with outside agencies for resources to program.
- Assist in the training and selection of prospective foster parents.
- Assist in ongoing training opportunities for certified foster parents in the program.
- Ensure case records are maintained to the standards of NY OCFS regulations, COA standards as well as agency standards.
- Collaborate with Northern Rivers service departments including finance and human resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree, with preference for Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
- At least three to five years of progressively responsible experience.
- Professional licensure preferred, but not required.

As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will be providing crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Shift/Schedule:
- Fulltime; 5 days a week 8 hour shifts or 4 days a week 10 hour shifts
- Cross shifts: 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, or 12pm-8pm
- Part time hours available
- Weekend and holiday expectations
- When scheduled for a weekend shift your schedule will be 5, 8 hour shifts for that week

As a Recreation Therapist, you will support Residential Treatment Facility clients recreation needs during intake and treatment. You will report to the Director of Therapeutic Recreation and you will work onsite, with some flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapeutic recreational assessments of residents to support the preparation and implementation of treatment plans (14-day and monthly Treatment Reviews).Consult with RTF team members regarding recreation activity planning, design, implementation, and evaluation

- Maintain the family/guardians connection and involvement with the child during the RTF stay
- Involve the family in every aspect of the treatment and discharge process
- Coordinate with RTF treatment staff regarding the family'sprogress, the child'streatment plan and the planning for therapeutic home visits

- Tuesday - Saturday
- 12:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursdays are 9:00am-5:00pm

As a Mobile Clinical Site Supervisor, you will oversee daily management and oversight of all staff to ensure management of the crisis line and onsite response to all 6 counties is coordinated. You will report to the Director of Crisis Services and you will work on-site.

- Monitor triages to ensure appropriate call management response.
- Assist with coordinating team response based on staffing per call.

- Act as a liaison to community partners to support program service.
- Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Participate in advanced trainings to the position.
- Complete Performance Evaluations yearly of supervisees.
- Monitor all Documentation of staff as oversite to ensure quality documentation.
- Enhance collaborative teamwork between all staff.
- Cross shifts with evening hours expected to provide support to both shifts across the hours of 7-11pm for Mobile Crisis Services; evening hour coverage responsibility shared with another site supervisor.

Description
Foster Care Supervisor Home Finder
Full-time
Hybrid
Schenectady
You will provide administrative supervision of Home Finders in the Foster Care program and will oversee recruitment, training, retention, and case management of prospective and certified foster and kinship families. You will be a representative for the Agency within the community as it pertains to recruitment. You will report to the Director of Foster Parent Recruitment and Retention and will work in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and professional development of home finders in the program, assuring that workers have the resources needed to perform their job responsibilities.
- Create and implement agency recruitment and retention plans of foster parents and kinship parents.
- Review organization and content of foster parent records to ensure OCFS regulatory standards, COA, and agency standards are met.
- Approval of all certifications, re-certifications and safety assessments of foster and kinship parents. Approve and oversee the implementation of all Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Actions Plans of foster and kinship parents.
- Oversee the implementation of post certification training opportunities are offered to foster parents.
- Provide proper documentation for all supervisory activities.
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor's degree required with at least three to four years of requisite experience.
- Experience in child welfare and/or juvenile detention preferred.
- One year supervisory experience preferred.
