Job Summary | The HVAC/r & Building Maintenance Technician will perform diversified duties for general building maintenance including carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and painting. HVAC-r responsibilities include repair, maintenance and installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chilled water, compressed air, heating and ventilation systems and associated controls. Job Summary | The International Exchange Visitor Specialist provides immigration advising and assistance for all J-1 visa holding visiting scholars and their dependents. The Specialist assists the Director with institutional compliance as related to the Exchange Visitors; including, reporting and monitoring data in the Student and Immigration Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and in Terra Dotta software. The Specialist is the point person for academic departments requesting visiting scholars and export control, in order to facilitate and streamline the processes for hosting international scholars. The Specialist provides regular information sessions for departments as well as assisting in the development of cultural programming as required by the US Department of State. |

Job Summary | Reporting to the Director of Environmental and Site Services, the Associate Director, Site Services is responsible for day-to-day management, productivity, and accountability of all staff within Landscape, Athletic Fields, Garage Moving, and Recycling/Waste removal. 1:1 Residential Counselor
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
- You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
- Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
- Document in writing a summary of each shift.
- Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
- Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

- Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.

Position Purpose: The candidate will perform journey level quality work, and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all college owned electrical systems and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operations: Meets the electrical needs of the campus community by performing work requests, emergencies, and special set-ups for faculty, staff and students. Works with various departments in order to achieve common goals and desires. Duties include: Ballast/driver, Switch/receptacle, and Breaker/Feeder replacements.
- Maintenance: Performs and maintains functionality of equipment and systems, including: Emergency Lighting, Switchgear, Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Control Centers, Transformers, and Battery back-up systems. Conducts monthly preventive maintenance in order to minimize equipment downtime.
- Projects: Plans and lays out work accordingly with knowledge and understanding of reading blue prints. Collaborates with team members on finding the best approach while leading to set an example. Lighting retrofits, additional circuitry, EV Charger installations, and feeder upgrades are some of the in-house team projects.
- Trouble-Shooting: Identifying and finding solutions when circumstances arise in order to maintain a 24/7 power generating facility. Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, diagnosis motor and motor control failures, and capacity to grow and develop skills through hands on training
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, two-year technical trade school, or apprenticeship program, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Five years as a Journeyman Electrician, experience in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Valid Commercial Electrician’s License (Preferred in Schenectady, Albany, or Troy).
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills including (Word, Excel, and Adobe).
- Knowledge of medium voltage three phase systems (13.2KV), WYE/DELTA and low voltage systems (24, 120, 208, 277, and 480v).
- Available for round-the-clock emergency response both on and off campus.
- Strong understanding and application of the National Electrical Code, NFPA, and OSHA standards on electrical and work safety procedures.
Compensation:
The rate for this position is $22.00 - $30.00 an hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
1:1 Residential Counselor
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
- You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
- Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
- Document in writing a summary of each shift.
- Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
- Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC1
- You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
- Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
- Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
- Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
- Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
- Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
- Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers, including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
- Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
- Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC2
All of the above plus the following:
- You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
- Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
- Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
- Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.
RC3
All of the above plus the following:
- Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.
- Display good judgment and decision making related to all program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
- Lead, delegate, and plan work for other team members.
