Church Event Coordinator (Part Time)

The Church Event Coordinator collaborates with appropriate committees, teams, and Church leaders in setting goals, determining priorities, establishing programs, and directing & supporting the calendar of events of subordinates and other church-wide campaigns. The Church Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for organizing and coordinating events for FBC Bryan, including special initiatives, funerals, and external gatherings. This role also involves providing guidance to various ministries in planning their smaller events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative, resourceful, and possess strong relational skills, as this position is predominantly administrative in nature. 

Qualifications

Experienced in coordinating events of various sizes to high standards. Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal. Highly detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and adept at problem-solving. Possesses a can-do attitude with adaptability and flexibility.

Duties & Oversight

Main coordination lead for use of the church event calendar, eSpace, and its partner applications. Act as an advisor and provide support to ministry leaders for large ministry events for which they have responsibility.

Recommends budget items related to the position; account for all receipts and expenditures by maintaining accurate records.

Work with the pastors on table and room arrangements for all meals and social functions.

Lead calendar meetings and attend staff meetings as needed.

Act as a coordinator for funeral details, both of church members and outside groups.

Exemplifies and communicates FBC Bryan mission, vision, values, and culture.

Be willing to undertake extra tasks that may arise in the day-to-day needs of FBC Bryan.
