The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is holding a recruiting event for Food Safety Inspectors at Workforce Solutions Panhandle, Amarillo TX, to fill vacancies in Cactus and Friona, TX.

What does a USDA Food Inspector do? Our Food Inspectors: Perform tasks related to the examination of food animals (cattle, poultry, etc) in privately-owned meat or poultry plants. They perform multiple tasks before and after slaughter, guaranteeing that the product is not contaminated, maintain sanitation procedures while ensuring the product is fit to eat and compliant with Federal laws.

If you have experience in meat or poultry slaughter, processing, or other food manufacturing plant, meat cutter/butcher, quality control/lab, chef/cook, or as a veterinary technician, we want to talk to you!

At the recruiting event, potential applicants will have an opportunity to discuss their qualifications, work experience, ask questions and learn more about the positions in Cactus and Friona TX, as well as other USDA FSIS positions that may be open at the time.
