VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT 

BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - At present, one (2) vacancies exists for the position of Building Maintenance Mechanic within the Jefferson County Buildings Department. This position is 40 hours per week on the day shift. Starting salary for these positions is $21.63/hr. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

(A)    Three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
(B)    Six years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.; OR
(C)    An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
