Strategic Account Manager, Gov/Education – Spectrum Enterprise

The Highlights

The Strategic Account Manager Government and Education is responsible for dedicated account management of an assigned module for market clients. This field-based position will focus on the protection and growth of existing revenues through proactive management of client relationships.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as customer advocate within the fast-growing business
  • Develop customer-centric solutions highlighting product benefits
  • Facilitate face-to-face meetings to pursue renewal opportunities
  • Deliver proposals to promote new revenue
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales and revenue quotas
  • Maintain customer database
  • Establish data control procedures and work with regulatory agencies as needed
  • Collaborate with others to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience
  • Attend training to remain current on pricing, order entry, and commission reports
  • Assist with account collections when necessary
  • Perform other duties as needed
Required Keys for Success
  • 5 years of experience with strategic sales or account management
  • 3+ years of experience in state/local government and/or education
  • Skilled in quickly conducting cost analysis and providing recommendations
  • Proven sales record, meeting $2500 monthly quota
  • Aptitude for identifying and cultivating market opportunities
  • Collaborative team member, able to multitask and manage change
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com, ICOMS/CSG, or other billing systems
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
How You Will Stand Out from the Crowd
  • 2+ years of industry experience with outside telecommunications related sales
  • Experience in data, voice, cloud, video solutions or premise based sales
  • Industry experience in B2B and telephony sales, including prospecting calls
  • Positive attitude with strong presentation skills
  • Confidence in communicating technical information to high level customers
  • Deadline driven in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Motivated by commission based model
  • Coachable, with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with product suite
Your Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in business-related field (preferred)
What You Can Expect
