KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Perform installation work including but not limited to voice, video and data installs, and service changes and disconnects in customer homes and places of business.
• Complete Midco First Time Right Broadband I certification within 90 days of hire. Consistently apply First Time Right principles in all aspects of work.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair to services on Midco’s regional network.
• Sweep and balance the regional network to detect and/or correct imperfections.
• Identify areas in need of service and repair including, but not limited to adjustment and alignment of equipment used for signal processing, amplification, and transmission.
• Take appropriate preventive measures to repair and maintain the regional network in customer homes and commercial property from the Headend.
• Demonstrate proficiency in and working knowledge of several areas of network systems; recognize deviations and distinguish them from accepted practices.
• Repair and maintain equipment, network systems and all components.
• Ensure that all documentation is timely and accurate and in compliance with FCC and company regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair ingress and egress problems in the regional network including, but not limited to transmission levels, signal loss, off-air interference and equipment failures.
• Maintain signal performance by proactively testing the network on a regular basis.
• Install, maintain and repair power supplies and provide splicing and activation of the regional network.
• Provide technical support and guidance by assisting with the resolution of installation or service problems encountered at customer sites.
• Install and disconnect video, internet, and telephone services in customer homes and commercial property as needed.
• Repair and/or wire cable from poles/pedestals into customer homes and commercial property; wire additional outlets as needed.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Facilities Engineer is a critical role for maintaining Midco’s facilities. This position is responsible for planning, building, coordinating, and maintaining the technical facilities portfolio and helps keep Midco as a leading internet service provider in the Midwest.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that structures are physically sound and capable of supporting the electronic equipment housed within it. Facility must meet all local, state and federal codes.
• Confirm that facilities have sufficient cooling and heating to keep the temperature at an acceptable and constant range at all times and in all areas of the facility and within racks.
• Ensure that buildings have sufficient available power including Generator and UPS loads. The electrical system needs to be stable and conditioned with proper grounding and surge suppression.
• Confirm that the correct power is available to support new equipment as it is installed.
• Ensure buildings have the proper security in place to prevent unauthorized access and is well lit.
• Budget, design, and manage projects related to technical facilities.
• Ensure facilities have sufficient means for suppression of fires.
• Manage the installation of racks and raceway.
• Develop, expand and improve the existing procedures and practices to continually incorporate the latest findings, highest standards and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
• Work closely with the NOC to ensure critical parameters are being monitored by the NOC.
• Provide training to those that manage the day-to-day operation of the sites and those that work at the sites on all relevant systems.
• Perform technical facility site audits.
• Manage vendor relationships relating to facilities management. This includes, but is not limited to electrical, UPS, HVAC, generators, plumbing, snow removal, lawn care, garbage service, security service, and parking lot maintenance.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with the Technical Facilities Manager regarding any potential or outstanding problems or issues.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Sourcing Coordinator will be the liaison for cross functional teams in the execution of the different phases of the product (part) life cycle to support Midco’s strategic initiatives. JOB PURPOSE:

Oversee a team of GIS analysts who help to inform users across the enterprise on a variety of elements and present complex data analyses in an easy-to-understand format.  The GIS analytics team led by the manager is responsible for maintaining/upgrading the web-based GIS platform, various integrations with other systems, deploying web applications, and analyzing complex phenomena to enable stakeholders to make the best decisions.

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead network implementation and engineering field trials in Midco’s production network. Provides MOPs and standard configurations for use by other teams.  Assists with network design and troubleshooting of complex network issues not resolved in Tier 1/2 support.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Network Engineer I-Architecture:

• Associate’s degree in related industry and/or equivalent work experience required. 
• Minimum 7 years of network engineering experience required. Previous experience in telecommunications industry preferred. 
• CCNA or JNCIA required. 

Network Engineer II-Architecture:

• Associate’s degree in related industry and/or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 9 years of network experience. Previous experience in telecommunications industry preferred.
• CCNP certification required.

Network Engineer III-Architecture: 

• Bachelor’s degree in related industry and/or equivalent work experience required. 
• Minimum 11 years of network experience required. 
• CCNP or JNCIP certification required. 

Network Engineer IV-Architecture: 

• Bachelor’s degree in related industry and/or equivalent work experience required. 
• Minimum 13 years of network experience. Previous experience in telecommunications industry preferred.

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform basic service installations, disconnects and changes for residential and business customers. Preferred candidates live within 15 miles of service area.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Perform installation work including but not limited to voice, video and data installs, and service changes and disconnects in customer homes and places of business.
• Complete Midco First Time Right Broadband I certification within 90 days of hire. Consistently apply First Time Right principles in all aspects of work.
• Troubleshoot and repair services from tap to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), and signal leakage repairs.
• Maintain records, including daily logs and gas sheets.
• Record all required information on work orders, surveys, and referrals.
• Promote cable, internet, and other Company services and educate customers on the proper use of Midco’s services, including how to add additional services, access help online, channel lineups, and proper equipment usage.
• Ensure proper signal levels and picture quality on all television sets; clear the premises of all debris and materials after the installation is complete.
• Appropriately manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Respond to requests for service and assistance in a timely manner.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
• Possess knowledge of Midco’s safety program (Target Zero), practice and enforce safety rules and procedures; operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Operate and drive a Company vehicle in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's home or place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.

• Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and other structures with proper equipment.
