JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Facilities Engineer is a critical role for maintaining Midco’s facilities. This position is responsible for planning, building, coordinating, and maintaining the technical facilities portfolio and helps keep Midco as a leading internet service provider in the Midwest.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that structures are physically sound and capable of supporting the electronic equipment housed within it. Facility must meet all local, state and federal codes.
• Confirm that facilities have sufficient cooling and heating to keep the temperature at an acceptable and constant range at all times and in all areas of the facility and within racks.
• Ensure that buildings have sufficient available power including Generator and UPS loads. The electrical system needs to be stable and conditioned with proper grounding and surge suppression.
• Confirm that the correct power is available to support new equipment as it is installed.
• Ensure buildings have the proper security in place to prevent unauthorized access and is well lit.
• Budget, design, and manage projects related to technical facilities.
• Ensure facilities have sufficient means for suppression of fires.
• Manage the installation of racks and raceway.
• Develop, expand and improve the existing procedures and practices to continually incorporate the latest findings, highest standards and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
• Work closely with the NOC to ensure critical parameters are being monitored by the NOC.
• Provide training to those that manage the day-to-day operation of the sites and those that work at the sites on all relevant systems.
• Perform technical facility site audits.
• Manage vendor relationships relating to facilities management. This includes, but is not limited to electrical, UPS, HVAC, generators, plumbing, snow removal, lawn care, garbage service, security service, and parking lot maintenance.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with the Technical Facilities Manager regarding any potential or outstanding problems or issues.

JOB PURPOSE:

Project manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while being accountable for successful implementation, billing commencement and overall customer satisfaction.  Success in this position requires serving as the single point of contact (POC) to the customer, coordinating across multiple groups and systems, professional and effective communication, timeline and critical task management, validating accuracy of all work completed, ongoing customer interaction and superior organizational skills.

JOB PURPOSE:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• HS Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Maintain a current and valid driver’s license and good to excellent driving record. A DUI within the last 5 years disqualifies you from employment in this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 84 lbs.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation and vibration.

Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's home or place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.

• Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and other structures with proper equipment.

JOB PURPOSE:

Drive residential sales opportunities through door-to-door sales efforts and networking throughout the community to provide individual consumers with basic services such as telephone, internet, and cable TV. Residential Sales Associates will also network with apartment managers, local builders, insurance agents and realtors to drive referrals and increase sales.

KEY FUNCTIONS: 

• Work targeted sales campaigns through door-to-door efforts and networking within the community to drive results.
• Identify individual customer’s current and potential product needs and make recommendations. Increase the customers understanding of Midco products and pricing options.
• Possess strong knowledge of product features, benefits, pricing, and campaigns for cable TV, high-speed internet, phone and in an effort to sell and upsell to new and existing customers by going door-to-door within territory.
• Accurately set up accounts for new customers, prepare work orders for installs, repairs, and other customer transactions.
• Maintain and update turf management plan without assistance, able to work independently.
• Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential and existing customers within your department and community.
• Apply a positive customer service attitude in interactions with all customer and establish positive rapport.
• Meet or exceed defined sales goals (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.).
• Follow up with customers in a timely manner, if necessary.
• Be patient and understanding in all customer interactions.
• Dress in a professional manner to positively represent Midco’s image throughout the community.
• Clearly explain and demonstrate equipment connectivity and functionality.
• Travel to new and growing markets for sales campaigns.
