This position is a fast paced, detail-oriented role in an independent setting. The processor/closer partners with attorneys, abstractors, real estate brokers and lending personnel to ensure a smooth transaction for home buyers and sellers from the start of a file through final closing. You will conduct ongoing reviews of all working files to ensure they are moving forward within the approved guidelines of the purchase and sales agreement. The processor/closer manages expectations and proactively communicates to all parties any changes and challenges that arise. There will be complex issues to resolve requiring thorough research to come to a solution for clients. You will be working closely with town office personnel to obtain tax information and utility vendors for final prorations. You will prepare and review settlement statements, disclosures and related documents with a high degree of accuracy. Oversees office administrative duties to ensure a positive client experience. Applicants must have experience in a title company setting as a processor/closer. Will be responsible for maintaining a State of Maine Notary License.

Must be willing to do anything required to get the job done. Everyone here does everything from running equipemt. to shoveling in a ditch, to laying pipe to tying rebar.

Position does require freaquent overnight travel. You can expect to be on the road 3 nights per week. Travel is in company vehicles, company paid lodging, $55.00 per night meal allowance when staying out overnight in addition to your pay..

Pay rate is $28-$40.00/hr depending on experience. Salay option after probation period possible. $4000 sign on bonus after 6 mos.

The Scarborough Land Trust is looking for an individual that can fill a temporary need related to work on a dozen properties across Scarborough. This position is temporary for two months, starting right away and ending September 30, 2024. The hourly rate is $20/hour with no additional benefits. The successful applicant must have a valid driver's license and their own transportation. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, maintaining equipment, trail work, and removal of invasive plant species. Almost all the work is in the field.
