ED Registration/Communications Assistant

Summary

Responsible for performing all switchboard functions such as receiving incoming calls, paging, and transferring calls. This position is cross-trained to cover ER Registration which includes registering all ER patients and direct admits and accumulating and entering all necessary patient demographics and insurance information in the computer system with timeliness and accuracy.

Exceptional customer service skills, confidentiality and attention to detail a must. 

Qualifications/Specifications

·Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.

·Experience: Minimum of one year experience, healthcare setting preferred.
