Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience designing low voltage telecommunications and security systems
- Experience working with design consultants including Architects and Engineers
- Understanding of ANSI/TIA, BICSI standards and NEC codes
- Working knowledge of industry design criteria standards
- Familiar with communications/security/audio-visual systems equipment manufacturers
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Skilled with all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle short deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- RCDD Certification a plus
- Government project experience a plus
- Network systems experience a plus

Key Responsibilities:
- Design Low Voltage Communications/Security/Audio-Visual Systems for vertical and horizontal projects
- Create detailed design drawings and specifications
- Meet with clients, maintain project schedules and perform design from start to finish for on-time deliverables to clients.
- Coordinate with other disciplines for design of communications and security systems
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates
- Perform construction administration duties for projects designed.
- Prepare project specifications specifically for Division 27 and 28
- Research code and standards compliance for projects
- Actively participate in project meetings
- Provide internal document QA/QC
- Provide input and guidance on company processes and standards
- Provide quality service to clients

DRI is seeking to fill a full-time Custodian, located in Reno, NV, working under general supervision, to perform various custodial cleaning and maintenance services in the Reno facilities, including the following responsibilities:
- Mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, trash pickup, cleaning, sanitizing and restocking restrooms
- Performing scheduled floor maintenance tasks, such as cleaning carpets, and stripping, waxing and polishing tile and terrazzo floors

The Desert Research Institute (DRI) is seeking a dedicated individual to fill a full-time Building Technician/HVAC position. Duties include
- Performing skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical malfunctions
- Installing, replacing or repairing damaged equipment
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs to HVAC and mechanical systems and components
- Preparing cost estimates for repairs
- Purchasing supplies and materials and documenting all work performed
- Other duties as assigned; may include: providing general assistance to department personnel, faculty and staff; provide for building safety and security as well as inspect and maintain emergency systems for the buildings and physical plant.
Mechanical systems include chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, boilers, fan coil units, compressors, heat pumps, VAV boxes and related mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps and fans. In addition, you will be working as part of the Facilities team on projects specific to the remodeling and renovation of office and laboratory spaces. These projects may include light carpentry, drywall installation, painting and plumbing, in addition to HVACR systems, as well as other duties as assigned.
