COMMERCIAL PROJECT ESTIMATOR – East Peoria, IL
LS Building Products is a private, locally owned company, with production and distribution locations throughout the Greater Central Illinois Region. Our goal at LS Building Products is to be the premier distributor of building materials in our markets, and to provide superior customer service and professional support to those we serve. Our commercial estimators are an integral part of meeting revenue goals and providing superior service to our existing customers.
JOB DUTIES:
· Review and organize all information necessary to provide accurate takeoffs and estimates, including specifications review, reading plans, generating materials list, and all other project and contractual documents to understand the scope and project needs
· Use internal and external resources to obtain timely and accurate material prices and necessary vendor quotes
· Combine all material, production, shipping and other associated costs to present the final proposed pricing in a clear and professional manner
· Prepare any necessary purchase orders to submit to vendors
· Respond quickly and accurately to customer and internal questions regarding the project and the proposed quote
· Ensure change orders are received and processed
· Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and vendors
· Coordinate scheduling the receipt and delivery of materials to the jobsite
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· General knowledge and understanding of construction plans, material lists, etc.
· Communication skills – verbal and written
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
· Highly organized
· Computer skills – able to master both internal and external quoting systems
JOB TYPE: Full-time
COMPENSATION:
· Starting at $24/hr (depending on skills and experience)
