bathtub surface repairs and reglazing
Bathtub Refinisher (no experience needed)
We are a small company called Armour Bathtub Refinishing, (attached to another company called Bath & Shower Chip & Crack Repairs) specializing in acrylic or steel bathtub /showers surface repairs, as well as refinishing / reglazing / refurbishing (almost like body work on cars, except with tubs and showers).
On the repair side, we also do cosmetic repairs on window / patio doors vinyl frames, mostly on new homes.
This is an entry level job.
Tasks are using small power tools, sanders, grinders, cutters, as well as large and small spray guns for coating, carrying tools and tool boxes, etc..
We need someone who is willing to join our team and grow with this company. We are looking for an outgoing person, who can work flexible hours (weekdays, usually between 7am and 5pm, but it varies), is good with his / her hands, has a great attitude and that is Very Reliable, courteous and professional with customers (very important!).
We need someone willing to put in the time to learn and work hard and be flexible, and someone who is willing to stay long term with the company.
We provide full training. The pay is "per job". Approximately 170$ to 200$ per tub done (it takes about a day for one or two).
The position requires a hard hat, steel toe boots or shoes (we provide shirts and breathing masks). If you have fall arrest and WHMIS cards, that's even better. If not, we can help you get them.
This position absolutely requires you to have your own vehicle (large enough), in order to drive to each house to do the repairs, all over the city and sometimes outside city limits (Kingston, Cornwall, Pembroke). Also, since most of the tools stay with you, (about 6 large toolboxes) you need a space at home to store them indoors or in a clean garage, and a area to be able to clean them on a daily basis.
If you are willing to train for a couple of months (we will train you with training pay) when the work is available, you must provide information about you (work experience, vehicle description, what you're looking for in a job, availabitilies, etc..) and let us know so we can discuss work/ pay / training in a more detailed manner.
