Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Financial Consultant I. Primary Function: Present members of HVCU with a growing array of financial services and investment products, while delivering unparalleled value and outstanding service to members. Please note: This role can be based in our Kingston or Rhinebeck locations and will cover our new Latham, NY branch (appointment only). This is a commission based role with a base salary of $60,000 annually. 

• Establish value-added relationships with members and support the activities of the Senior Financial Consultant.
  
• Meet customers’ financial needs including, but not limited to, the following: a. Funding for a secure retirement b. Funding for children or grandchildren’s education needs c. Growth of assets above inflation and taxes d. Protection of assets from estate taxes
  
• Sell effectively by establishing relationships with members, finding their needs and then offering appropriate solutions in a compelling way so the customer sees the value, understands the features and benefits and purchase the solution.
  
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding established revenue and branch referral goals as part of the team goal with the Financial Consultant II.
  
• Cultivate existing (C&D) clients with the goal of identifying potential members to be graduated to (A&B) clients.
  
• Conduct educational seminars for members and prospective members.
  
• Conduct training within Credit Union to educate employees on the benefits of Financial Services and grow referrals within the branch network.
  
• Provide branch coverage due to extended hours.

• Partner with product marketing, PR, business units and other stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive and scalable campaigns for new and mature markets.

• Design creative messaging for all digital initiatives including website updates, emails, social media banner ads, etc. with ability to interpret and transform brand positioning and print visuals into a digital platform.

• Lead, develop, implement and maintain a creative and content strategy using innovative and captivating concepts for integrated campaigns on behalf of our brand and our partners that align with our mission, impact and core values.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that includes compelling storytelling through digital, video, photo, audio, copy, and print media that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and resonates with target audiences.

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Commercial Loan Officer. Primary Function: counsel prospective commercial loan applicants regarding the specific commercial loan programs that are appropriate for their financial circumstances and assist them in completing the process of obtaining a commercial loan in accordance with Credit Union and regulatory guidelines. Covers Putnam, Westchester & Rockland territories. Position is commission eligible. 

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of internal and external relationships for referral sources within the community including, but not limited to, HVCU branches, realtors, attorneys, accountants and other affinity groups. Attend functions relative to the position to build rapport within the community.
  
• Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries and leads from all sources.
  
• Recommend Credit Union commercial loan products to members that would best serve them, advising them of the risks and benefits of the loan alternatives, including options and variables involved. Based on member need, identify opportunities for referral to other Credit Union products and services.
  
• Maintain and develop the portfolio of existing commercial loan members, responding promptly to all inquiries and requests and utilize approved methods to record the details of all efforts.
  
• Assist in the preparation, management and presentation of new loan proposals and renewals, including the documentation of the business income, assets, investments, and debts as well as characteristics of the property and other pertinent information.
  
• Follow up with members, as necessary, to obtain required documentation. Provide assistance as required to the Processing and/or Underwriting areas in order to ensure a quality loan decision.
  
• Prepare for and attend Commercial Loan Committee meetings and assist in closings, as needed.
  
• Perform on-going and consistent collection efforts/workout for assigned delinquent members. Document efforts in the file.
  
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
