Teller / Member Services Rep - FULL-TIME

Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 8:15am - 4:30pm
Friday, 8:15am - 6:30pm
Rotating Saturdays, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Pay: $20.00/hr

The successful candidate must:

• Pass Criminal Background & Credit Check
• Pass Drug Screen
• MUST be willing to work at ANY of our 5 local branches if necessary (Bardstown Road, Downtown, Okolona, Middletown, Dixie Hwy)

Specific Duties:

• Identify the financial needs of the members and suggest an appropriate Credit Union solution. Cross-sell appropriate products and services to benefit the member and achieve sales goals set forth by the Credit Union.
• Build and maintain strong member relationships by providing prompt, reliable, and courteous service when assisting members with financial transactions and services.
• Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary membership information.
• Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations, including robbery procedures.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totals to core processor totals. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor and VP/Operations.
• Participate in Call Center call queue as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.
• Previous teller experience preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Maintain a consistently positive, helpful attitude with internal and external members. Act with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and provide outstanding service. Must be service driven.
• Ability to abide by Transcend's Service Mission and Promises.
• Present a polished, professional image regarding conduct and appearance.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with members and co-workers.
• Ability to proficiently use a personal computer and applicable software employed by the Credit Union.
• Ability to cross-sell Credit Union products and services effectively and accurately.
• Ability to handle multiple and/or changing priorities simultaneously.

• The employee is required primarily to sit, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• The employee shall have the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
