IT Helpdesk Tech
The IT Helpdesk Tech must be able to repair IT hardware, install and manage software, provide general IT helpdesk support to staff, and use their technical understandings to complete supervisor assigned IT tasks and duties.
Maintaining the operations of the network requires Information Technology personnel to understand their job responsibilities and duties, and comply with the policies. There will be times when after hours are required. Responsibilities are listed and may not cover an unexpected task.
•Understand and enforce the policies and procedures.
•Follow the guidelines of their administrative unit as they pertain to IT procedures, documentation, guides, instructions, applicable laws, and licensing agreements.
•Take precautions against damage or theft of the systems, information, or components.
•Assisting with helpdesk ticket system and perform routine helpdesk support.
•Resolve hardware and software incidents using research and provided tools.
•Diagnose and repair computers, network cables, printers, and other IT hardware and devices.
•Open and manage support and hardware repair cases with 3rd party vendors.
•Answer employee’s questions about technology and security.
•Assist in the assembly and installation of network, video, and other cabling
•Learn and understand the bank’s logical and physical network and system topology.
•Travel to branches to perform IT services.
•Setup and configure computer workstations.
•Understand the importance of the privacy and security of all the bank's customers and employees.
•Understand the importance of physical and logical security for all network components and their locations.
•Conduct periodic preventive maintenance and specified security audits on designated IT systems.
•May be assigned specialized job duties, such as firewall or network configurations, scripting, programming, automation, updating documentation, out of scope troubleshooting, small building repairs, and other relevant tasks that may require completion.
•May be given responsibility of auditing logs, events, and their performing appropriate escalation.
•Learn and understand the software, tools, and processes of the bank and use them knowledgably.
•Must be dependable, able to lean quickly, and follow complex instructions with little oversight.
•Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, be insurable, able to lift 45 lbs., sit and stand for long periods of time, and be able to climb a ladder.
•A working knowledge of and experience with basic networking, computer troubleshooting, and Microsoft based workstations is preferable.
Hours are M-F 7:30a-5p with a 3 week rotation where it shifts from M-F 9a-6p and Sat 8a-12p. Also will consider a Part-Time employee with hours from M-F 12:30-6p and Sat 8a-12p.
