Schedule: Mon - Fri 40 hours / or Tue & Thr 7:30a-4p
Reports To: Ophthalmologist / Clinical Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Assistant to support our physician and ensure a smooth surgical and clinical workflow.
Position Summary
The Ophthalmic Assistant plays a key role in assisting with patient care in both the office as well as with surgical procedures. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide calm, reassuring care to patients in a surgical and office based setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive ophthalmic testing, including:
Prepare patients for office-based surgical procedures
Assist physicians during in-office surgeries and procedures
Maintain sterile technique and assist with room setup and turnover
Administer diagnostic eye drops and medications as directed
Accurately document findings in the EHR
Educate patients on procedures, post-op care, and medications
Clean, calibrate, and maintain ophthalmic equipment
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician preferred, but not required.
Experience in the operating room is preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and patient-care skills
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
