Full-Time Behavior Analyst Specialist (BCBA)

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Analyst Specialist to join our team in Kingston. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their fullest potential through effective behavioral strategies.

Behavior Analyst Specialist Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized behavior support plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Provide training and supervision to staff in the effective application of behavior support plans, ensuring consistency in implementation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, healthcare professionals, and family members, to support individuals holistically.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with OPWDD standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, utilizing SCIP-R techniques.

Behavior Analyst Specialist Qualifications:

• National Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis, clinical psychology, or a related field approved by OPWDD.
• OPWDD-approved training or experience in functional assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
• 3-5 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including creating, implementing, and evaluating behavior support plans.
• Experience working with individuals who have dual diagnoses (developmental disabilities and mental health challenges) preferred.
• Certification (or ability to obtain and maintain) in SCIP-R and CPR.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.

This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs while contributing your expertise in behavioral analysis and clinical strategies.

Lead Clinician Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; LCSW required.
• 3-5 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including behavior plan development and implementation.
• Expertise in assessment techniques and behavior support planning.
• Knowledge of HCBS and Part 633.16 regulations.
• Certification or ability to obtain certification in SCIP-R.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Therapy.

Lead Clinician Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans tailored to individual needs.
• Supervise and train staff in effective behavior plan implementation.
• Ensure compliance with HCBS and Part 633.16 regulations.
