Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of VP, Director of Mortgage Loan Origination - Northern NY Market. Primary Function: Provide daily sales management and leadership for the Mortgage Loan Officers. Analyze local market opportunities and lead the Mortgage Loan Officers to execute sales and performance goals while ensuring full compliance with all applicable residential mortgage lending rules and regulations. Provide leadership, guidance and training support to staff ensuring members receive excellent member service during the mortgage process. Base Pay: $110,000 + Commission. Experience in the Albany market required.
Responsibilities
- Coach, train and direct the daily sales activities of all Mortgage Loan Officers. Drive the development and execution of all established sales and performance goals, and assist with member service issues.
- Develop and implement loan origination procedures, programs and marketing strategies that enable team members to achieve high volume loan production and consistently meet or exceed performance goals, while ensuring adherence to all applicable guidelines, procedures and regulations.
- Hold team members accountable to identify opportunities for referral to other Credit Union products and services including, but not limited to, Hudson Valley Credit Union Insurance Services, HVCU Financial Services, HVCU Business Services and HVCU branch services.
- Analyze financial and other relevant sales data to identify trends, market opportunities and competitive offerings. Recommend changes to the lending program parameters, policies, guidelines and procedures as needed.
- Prepare all applicable management reports for lending in a timely manner. Use reports to monitor growth, existing member relationships, budget goals and asset quality.
- Responsible for assisting direct reports in the development and maintenance of internal and external relationships for referral sources within the community including, but not limited to, branches, businesses, realtors, builders and other affinity groups. Attend functions relative to the position to build rapport within the community.
- Maintain superior knowledge of the variety of loan products, guidelines and services offered and attend meetings and training programs as required by the Credit Union in order to maintain this level of experience and knowledge.
- Lead and participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Continuously look for opportunities to enhance revenue and create lean efficiencies, reduce expenses, streamline and improve operations.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Administer and generate bi-weekly payroll, process electronic time records, reconcile payroll with ledgers and operating budgets and produce applicable reports.
