Ethan Allen Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential care and oversight in a residential group home setting. This role is ideal for a compassionate, experienced RN who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).

Residential Group Home RN Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience (experience with ID/DD populations preferred).
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and community resources.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Ability to physically assist individuals as needed and intervene during behavioral crises using approved techniques.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to operate agency vehicles.
• Must successfully complete all required agency training within six months of employment.

Residential Group Home RN Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care, including routine, emergency, and minor medical treatment.
• Administer medications per physician orders and oversee staff training in medication administration, including initial certification and annual recertification.
• Conduct physical assessments upon admission, post-hospitalization, and as per program guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure health information is readily available for healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, and community resources to coordinate care.
• Enforce policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations.
• Assist in identifying and addressing medication errors, working with leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and work closely with families and advocates to provide individualized care.
