Position Summary
The Inside Salesperson’s primary responsibility is to sell products and render prompt and courteous service to customers over the telephone and in person. The Inside Salesperson must also support outside sales activity and work with all company personnel to ensure quality customer service.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations on specific jobs as required by customers and outside Salespeople.
- Provide pricing, product, product substitutions, delivery, back-order and warranty information as requested.
- Handle special orders and non-stock item orders.
- Coordinate the return of merchandise with customers and warehouse staff.
- Prepare quotes for quantity orders, in writing if requested, and prepare submittal forms tailored to each customer’s needs.
- Inform customers of promotions and quantity purchase prices.
- Keep abreast of new products and apply knowledge of product usage in selling additional materials to the customer consistent with job specifications. Continually work toward achieving familiarity with entire product base.
- Investigate and resolve, if possible, customer inquiries and complaints.
- Maintain a consistent and positive customer service image when interacting with customers.
- Coordinate sales activity with shipping and credit departments.
- Keep catalogs and price lists up to date.
- Assist in training new sales personnel and attend company meetings as requested.
- Support sales activity in all other areas as needed, including Outside sales staff, Counter Sales, and Showroom Sales.
- Always maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- The Inside Salesperson may become involved with such other duties as the Company/ Manager may deem necessary.

Position Summary
Our delivery drivers are the face of our company and play the biggest role in customer service. Your role is to help customer satisfaction by communication and the ability to meet customers’ needs/requests by delivering material accurately and on time to the best of your ability. Driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations. Customer Service is #1 Priority.
Job Duties
- Check and secure the load on the truck and make sure you are prepared for deliveries and pickups - i.e. straps, pallet jacks, dollies
- Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. and complete appropriate paperwork before departing daily to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind, fill out VIR accurately and honestly. Report any issue that may hinder the safe operation of the vehicle or any equipment immediately to the supervisor
- Verify the accuracy of shipping manifest, ship tickets and material. Report any issues immediately to dispatcher or manager. Incorrect breakdowns must be reported and verified with a text including pics of ticket breakdown and changes. Check all breakdowns, material, and pipe, when possible, before leaving our shop for your route.
- Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers' needs, customer service is always number one, meeting delivery times and customers’ needs.
- Text or call all customers with eta to their job site when leaving the stop before. Always text when material has been dropped with location of drop.
- Take pictures of your fully loaded truck before leaving in the am. Take complete pictures of all dropped material and pipe. Take pictures of the material and pipe for your next stop on the truck before you leave the previous stop. Take pictures of all pickups (po’s and customer returns). Take pictures of all vendor returns.
- Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received. Communicate first thing in the am and throughout the day with customers and dispatch regarding any delivery time frame issues and eta’s.
- Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company immediately
- Increase customer satisfaction by being receptive to the customer’s needs, collecting information, feedback on service and resolving complaints per company policy by communicating the information back to the company.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required, while performing warehouse duties while not driving.
- Maintain a safe driving record, free of violations. Moving violations will be paid by the driver. Equipment violations will be paid by the company if/when previously documented on VIR and reported to dispatch/manager
- Same day deliveries/2nd runs are a part of the job. In order to schedule, we expect the drivers to be ready to take a run when they return. If this is not possible on any given day, please inform dispatch first thing am
- Follow company policies and procedures and dress code. Dress code for all drivers include long pants and steel toe boots. Safety vests, hard hats and safety glasses as required on job sites.
- Promote teamwork and cooperative effort. Treat fellow employees with respect. Always act in a professional manner.

Position Title: Jewish Advisor
Department/School: Spiritual Life & Service
Salary/Pay Rate: $40/hour - $50/hour
Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York is seeking our next Jewish Advisor to lead and support Jewish life on campus. The Jewish Advisor is a part-time staff member in Spiritual Life and Service that logs approximately 6 hours per week when class is in session. Marist welcomes applications from ordained rabbis, cantors, or non-ordained Jewish spiritual leaders. The advisor provides 1-on-1 support to individual students, creates community within and among our Jewish students, and contributes programming both independently and collaboratively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience expected.
Essential Functions:
- Provide primary outreach to Jewish students at Marist, and offer counseling and support regarding Jewish identity development. Serve as a resource at Marist on issues related to Jewish life, religion, and culture. Liaise between Marist and the local Poughkeepsie/Hudson Valley Jewish community, and occasionally consult with parents of current and prospective students about Jewish life on campus.
- Serve as the staff advisor to Marist Hillel club. Develop relationships with Hillel leadership at attend meetings when possible. Create connections with the national Hillel organization and, if applicable, other local chapters.
- Organize and lead bi-monthly Shabbat services and facilitate student participation and leadership in Shabbat. Assist with SLS to arrange student registration and transportation for High Holy Days (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) services locally. Organize and lead, in collaboration with SLS and Hillel, other holiday events such as Sukkot, Passover seder, and a Hanukkah party.
- Serve on the Holocaust Memorial Committee and attend the spring event. Attend the fall Effron Lecture in Jewish Studies. Attend staff meetings in Spiritual Life and Service as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred.
