BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair and maintain residential and commercial buildings and their components and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Perform a variety of work in the maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance within the hotel and on the property including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and appliance repair in an effort to meet and exceed established standards.

•Respond promptly to emergency calls involving all Mohonk Mountain House systems and components, as well as outbuildings.
•Highlight any other matters that need future upgrading work.
•Assist in HVAC unit repair projects.
•Assist in remodeling and construction of new projects as may be required.
•Perform Pool/Spa maintenance.
•Keep all mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition.
•Manage an inventory record of parts and supplies, tools and equipment.
•Diagnose mechanical problems to identify the root cause of problems. Then develop and implement effective solutions to problems.
•Work together with Operations Managers and communicate any aspect of operations which will involve the maintenance department.
•Communicate results of completed tasks and work in progress clearly to appropriate departments.

•Monitor and evaluate work-related conditions to determine compliance with prescribed operating, safety regulations and Department guidelines.
•Inform supervisor of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.

What is an Assistant Transmission Operator?
Assistant Transmission Operators (ATOs) work an 8-hour rotating shift in our 24/7 “state-of-the art” System Operations Control Room which coordinates the work of personnel engaged in the safe and reliable operation of the electric and gas transmission systems. An ATO must possess the ability and skills necessary to fully operate various software programs that the Company utilizes to monitor and control the electric and gas transmission systems, assess storm damage, assign and dispatch field personnel, and optimize crew and work schedules. An ATO must be able to multitask, communicate effectively to direct field personnel, and collaborate in an interactive team environment.
What does an Assistant Transmission Operator do?
- Under direct supervision of a Chief Transmission Operator, prepares, reviews, and executes transmission switching and valve orders in accordance with company policies
- Under direct supervision, performs the functions of a real-time operating position including but not limited to monitoring the pre and post contingency voltage and power flow parameters of the electric transmission system and pressure and flow rate parameters of the gas transmission system
- Under direct supervision, adjusts transmission system resources to maintain parameters within established limits and promptly acknowledges and responds to system alarms
- Monitors access to the control centers in accordance with the Company’s NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) cyber security policy
- Ensures the highest levels of safe work practices are observed by personnel (including field personnel) to strive for an accident and injury free workplace
- Performs callouts for additional resources when directed
- Successfully completes all required training
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Works an 8-hour rotating shift schedule
What does it take to be an Assistant Transmission Operator?
- High school diploma or equivalency degree and at least one of the following:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Science or other technology related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in electric or gas operations or engineering, power plant operations or maintenance, emergency response dispatch, or military, with at least one of the following:
- (i) Nine (9) credit hours in Engineering, Mechanical Science or other technology related field
- (ii) Military technical training
- (iii) Nuclear training
- (iv) Other applicable documented training programs
- Valid driver’s license

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the preparation of fresh and wholesome meals for a hotel with a 600 hotel guest and 500 day guest capacity, ensuring smooth operation, proper sanitation, and sound management of up to 20 staff members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assume responsibility for the overall production of hot and cold foods associated with a la carte and buffet dining services which include Main Dining room, West Dining room, East Dining Room, Carriage lounge, and Banquets as assigned.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly assist bartenders and guests with beverage and food service by clearing and cleaning tables and other beverage areas, restocking supplies etc.

The Water Plant Operator shall ensure water distributed throughout the potable water system meets the pertinent standards for safe drinking water at all times through the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems within the Water Plant, as well as the repair and maintenance of all auxiliary water systems. BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the preparation of fresh and wholesome hot buffet foods for breakfast and lunch for a hotel serving up to 2500 meals per day ensuring a smooth operation, proper sanitation, and sound management of three to ten employees.

- Assume responsibility for the overall production of hot breakfast items, lunch, and additional hot banquet preparations served for both breakfast and lunch.

- Attend to any problems that may occur during the AM shift and report the incident to the Executive Chef.
- Check daily house counts for all meals and their scheduled times, maintain attention to any special requests.
- Delegate designated prep work load for entire AM hot side crew.
- Maintain an awareness of and minimize costs/expenses.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Mohonk Mountain House policies. Maintain a knowledge of local, state, federal health and employment laws.
- Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraising performance; reward and coach/counsel/discipline employees; address complaints.

- Inform Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Maintain food and cooler logs.
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Complete safety training and certifications when offered.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds from ground level and carry a distance of up to 100 feet with/ without assistance. Walk up to 5 miles per day.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 200 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 75 yards.
- Identify safety hazards, report, and follow up to see that corrective action is taken.
- Inform supervisor of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.
- Reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, steamers, kettles, and fryers.
- Speak, read and write the English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors and employees. Hear verbal instructions, directions and warnings.
- Perform basic mathematical functions with recipes such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Prepare administrative reports in a clear, logical manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Windows-based operating systems and use software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
- Develop and implement short and long-term goals and objectives for the department and Mohonk Mountain House.
- Offer consistently professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
- Assist all service staff and company workers in a professional manner insuring our guest service is in accordance with company standards.
- Adhere to Mohonk Mountain House’s Dress and Grooming Standards; presenting a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and maintaining a positive, professional image to our customers.
- Learn and successfully demonstrate the Mohonk Mountain House Service Steps with Service Strategies with guests and staff.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule including days/nights, weekdays/weekends, holidays, and during peak periods of business.
- Taste sweet, sour, bitter, and salty and demonstrate a sense of smell.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Culinary Arts from accredited culinary school or 5-7 years experience in similar operation.
- Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
- Certified in food service sanitation practices and prevention of food borne illnesses.
