Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Universal Branch Associate. Primary Function: provide highest level member service through efficient, accurate transaction processing and applying a consultative needs-based sales approach, focused on establishing new member relationships, and deepening and retaining existing relationships, to cross sell HVCU products and services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions. Educate members about the most convenient way to complete transaction processing in the branch and through other channels such as Internet Banking, the mobile app, audio response, the Contact Center, etc. Resolve member complaints and concerns quickly and efficiently and involve other functional areas as needed.
- Responsible for handling large volumes of cash and negotiable items. Assists management with daily operational tasks including operator, ATM, TellerInfinity and branch proof.
- Open new memberships, new accounts, new loans and process loan and account transactions. Refer members to branch business partners for consultation on Financial Services, Insurance Services, Real Estate and Business products as appropriate to meet member needs.
- Consistently follow all applicable policies and procedures. Utilize required programs and systems to assist with cross selling HVCU products and services.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products and services through ongoing training and education. Train new Universal Branch Associates as needed.
- Meet or exceed established individual and team goals through the consistent application of the HVCU Sales and Service model in all member interactions. Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Qualifications

- Minimum 1 Year Customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment experience, required
- Previous Teller or cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment, preferred

The successful candidate will be responsible for the investigation of fraudulent, illegal or improper activities committed by or against members, and the prevention and recovery of losses caused by such activity.
Responsibilities
- Investigate alerts or notifications produced within fraud analytics software, and other daily reports, related to potential misuse or abuse of products and services such as account and deposit fraud, wire fraud, loan fraud and identity theft.
- Track fraud losses and trends and maintain related logs or cases within the fraud analytics software and core system.
- Contact all levels of law enforcement on matters related to fraudulent, illegal or improper activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the exchange of information, obtaining of warrants and appearance in court as a representative of the Credit Union. Maintain complete files of fraudulent accounts.
- Serve as a resource for other Credit Union employees with fraud-related questions/concerns.
- Recommend appropriate punitive or disciplinary action and restitution to affected members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage general accounting functions, including monthly reporting and other related accounting tasks, reporting directly to CFO.

Job Summary:
The Operations Director is responsible for pursuing and stewarding sources of support from gifts and grants, assisting with the production and distribution of all HRVI publications, with focus on retail sales of The Hudson River Valley Review, assisting with planning and execution of all HRVI events, providing and maintaining content for HRVI’s Digital Library, and supervising student employees and interns. General Summary:
Provide support to Commercial Lenders; Provide assistance with daily duties in underwriting, manage existing portfolio, draw downs, wire transfers, and credit line increases/renewals.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Collect/review all required financial data prior to submission to Credit, pre-closing and post-closing.
- Spread all business returns, financial statements, personal financial statements rent rolls.
- Run all D&B and Experian credit reports. UCC Searches.
- Complete all HMDA forms.
- Lender portion of loan presentations.
- File all documents, create new files.
- Review/approve all financial information request letters prior to mailing to customer to ensure request is accurate and timely. Manage financial information collection process.
- Review/manage pending loan maturities 90 days prior to maturity date to ensure there are no administrative past dues and to eliminate last minute extensions.
- Correspond with loan officer and customer to take inventory on financials and determine whether all information for expiring loans is collected. Then follow everything under the first bullet above.
- Identify/address credit weaknesses/deficiencies, including non-compliance with financial covenants.
- Manage annual reviews; identify/report significant changes in financial status of borrowers, guarantors, or appraised values, etc.
- Monitor/ Update classified loans on a quarterly basis.

We are seeking an experienced, driven, self-starter to join our team as a Branch Supervisor in our Rhinebeck location. The individual chosen will support branch personnel, providing supervision, coaching, counseling, and assistance in addition to assisting members and potential members with their credit union needs and providing an exceptional member experience. This role includes Saturdays and rotating shifts during the week to be a part of the regularly scheduled workweek.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily supervision and support for all branch personnel, including both the platform reps and the tellers. Assisting branch manager with timesheet processing, performance management, and branch KPI performance and reporting. Assuming the management role in the absence of the branch manager, which includes schedules, trains, and monitors the work of MSRs, answers questions, solves problems, and assisting with complex transactions. Monitoring cross-sell reports to assure sales and referral opportunities are acted upon. Assisting with the coaching and motivation of all branch personnel to assure established goals are obtained and that the Lender Development Program techniques are followed.
- Identifying and taking action to improve the department's operating methods and procedures to assure regulatory compliance while maintaining exceptional member service. Monitoring and editing employee’s time sheets and assisting the manager by providing input for performance reviews.
- Assisting members with opening and closing accounts, IRAs, certificates, and answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Referring problems that are beyond their authority to the next level, along with their recommendations. Receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments and selling money orders and traveler’s checks to members, and transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
- Identifying cross sell opportunities and cross sells services to members. Welcoming members and providing routine information concerning services and directing members to appropriate department for specific information and service. Cross-selling credit union products and services.

As an Account and Loan Representative, you will assist members with their financial needs and establish and maintain long‑lasting, profitable member relationships. You will be responsible for loan origination and closing, as well as promoting and cross-selling TEG products and services.
This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position, Monday – Saturday, but the schedule varies; you must have flexible availability.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications):
- At least 2 years of experience in lending, personal banking, and/or financial services in a bank or credit union
- Experience originating and/or closing loan applications is desired
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired!
- Must be available to work on Saturdays

What You’ll Do as the Account and Loan Representative (Responsibilities):
- Open accounts for new and existing members, including loans, business accounts, certificates of deposit, and IRA's
- Prepare loan applications and submit into centralized lender
- Close loan applications – volume in excess of $100k per month
- Respond to member requests and resolve member account problems

- Build and maintain member relationships via follow‑up and outbound sales calls
- Perform all Teller duties as needed by the branch
