BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. Supervise assigned maintenance staff as directed by Chief Engineer. Manage department in absence of Chief Engineer. Cultivate a clean, organized, safe work area including storage facilities, shop areas and any assigned work locations. Assure relevant Local, State, and Federal health, environmental and safety regulations are followed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Process Maintenance Request/Work orders in a timely manner and assign to Maintenance technicians.
•Train, assist, perform and schedule maintenance staff for the restoration, maintenance and repair of all current and future systems.
•Secure maintenance contractors and assure necessary work is performed per contract in a timely and safe manner.
•Assist, perform and schedule contractors for the restoration, maintenance and repair of current and future systems of Mohonk Mountain House.
•Issue confined space entry permits and lockouts as well as hot work permits and other safety permits as needed.
•Provide advice on maintenance issues and procedures. Recommend, develop and perform preventative and general maintenance procedures as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts and changing filters.
•Order, maintain, and inventory supplies necessary for maintenance as required.
•Assist with loading, unloading, placement and inventorying of necessary materials.
•Perform carpentry, masonry, painting, patching, staining, tiling, plumbing, electric and other tasks.
•Assist other Engineering and Maintenance staff and perform other related duties as needed.
•Educate co-workers on systems operation to assist in maintaining a smooth
operating plant.
•Learn and utilize new methods, materials and procedures and systems.
•Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and standards including but not limited to lock out-tag out, confined space, hot-work, SDS, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.
•Operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely while driving and/or parking in compliance with Mohonk Mountain House Traffic Rules and Regulations.
•Monitor and evaluate work-related conditions to determine compliance with prescribed operating, safety regulations and Department guidelines.
•Inform supervisor of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests, employees or hotel assets.
•Act calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
•Analyze problems and develop and implement action plans to address problems.
•Demonstrate proficiency with Windows-based operating systems and use software including MS Word, MS Outlook.
•Perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
•Read and comprehend technical manuals, diagrams, and blue prints.
•Learn and utilize new methods, materials, procedures, and systems.
•Inspect work and work areas by touch, sight, sound and smell for conformance to prescribed standards.
•Speak, read and write the English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors and employees. Hear verbal instructions, directions and warnings.
•Reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
•Lift up to 75 pounds from ground level to shoulder and carry a distance of up to 50 feet with/ without assistance. Walk up to 15 miles per day.
•Perform work duties up to 80 feet above the ground.
•Maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 200 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 750 feet.
•Pass through and work in tight, enclosed, and confined spaces.
•See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Carry a two-way portable radio and earpiece to communicate and enable immediate response to emergency situations.
•Work under stress from contact with public, demanding deadlines and changing priorities and conditions.
•Work outdoors and exposed to natural elements.
•Adhere to Mohonk Mountain House’s Dress and Grooming Standards; presenting a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and maintaining a positive, professional image to our customers.
•Learn and successfully demonstrate the Mohonk Mountain House Service Steps with Service Strategies with guests and staff.
•Learn and retain knowledge of historical facts and information about Mohonk Mountain House.
•Maintain a flexible work schedule including days/nights, weekdays/weekends, holidays, and during peak periods of business.
•Work additional hours beyond regularly scheduled work day (evenings and weekends) as necessary.
•Work extended hours or on short notice in emergency situations.
•Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other staff.
•Answer questions with accurate information and demonstrate a friendly and helpful personality by smiling, eye contact, initiating conversation and engaging with others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
•Minimum ten (10) years experience in construction, maintenance and repair or five (5) years experience with a trade certificate or comparable formal training.
•Have at least two (2) years experience in a supervisory role.
•Maintain a valid New York ACM O & M license.
•Have knowledge of installation and or maintenance of Residential and commercial heating systems (geothermal, hydronic, electric and steam), HVAC Systems, Fire sprinkler and other fire suppression systems, kitchen appliances, electrical wiring (including electrical theory and circuit design), plumbing (including hydraulic theory), Motors and pumps, Electromechanical assemblies and controls, Doors, windows, locks, and screens.
•Have knowledge of correct selection and use of fasteners and fastening systems.
•Have knowledge of application of paints, stains, caulk, and other protective coatings.

Engineering & Surveying Properties, D.P.C. (EP) is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our team. EP offers a range of services, including land development design, water and sewer system design, stormwater management design, construction support and inspection, grant application preparation, municipal and public works engineering, SEQR compliance, and environmental permitting. Additionally, we provide surveying services such as boundary and topographic surveying, construction stakeouts/layouts, and GPS services. This is a non-remote position.
**Responsibilities:**
The selected applicant will be responsible for engineering design work, which includes civil/site design, site layout, subdivision design, site grading, stormwater runoff management, and water and sewer design.
**Location**
This position has an in person / in office requirement in our office located in Montgomery, New York. This is NOT a remote/hybrid position.
**Qualifications:**
- 2-10 years of practical experience in a professional consulting environment
- B.S. in Civil Engineering preferred
- Understanding / Familiarity of New York's SEQR process is required
- Significant experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency in technical writing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Primary Functions: Design, implement, and maintain security systems to protect the organization’s computer networks and data from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and breaches. This includes coordinating and ensuring remediation of identified vulnerabilities, participating in all internal and external security audits and penetration testing, creating or enhancing security policies, procedures, and standards, and partnering with other teams at HVCU to mature our cyber security program.
