Water World Maintenance Technician (CPO Certified Preferred)
Primary responsibility to maintain water attractions by following preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting issues, and repairing damaged or failed parts while working closely with the Maintenance Department and Aquatic Department to facilitate efficient operation of Water World.
Job Functions:
- Performing preventative maintenance on water attractions in compliance with manufacturer's specifications and park standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues that arise with water attractions.
- Repair and replace damaged and/or failed parts on water attractions in compliance with manufacturer's specifications and park standards.
- Acquire and maintain Pennsylvania Amusement Ride Inspector license.
- Assist with facility and building maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Department to solve water attraction issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate with Aquatic Department for training and proper operating procedures.
- Monitor water quality and adjust pool equipment according to Erie County Health Department standards.
- Assist in supervising seasonal maintenance team.
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Contribute to a positive working environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a trade or mechanical field (i.e. plumbing, construction, electrical, mechanic).
- Must be able to clearly communicate, read, and write in English.
- Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work.
- Must be self-motivated to complete tasks and to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments.
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Waldameer guidelines.
- Ability to obtain CPO certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of previous pool maintenance experience.
- Experience in a waterpark setting.
- CPO certification.
- PA Pesticide license.
- Skills and knowledge of pumps and filtration systems.
Working Conditions:
- April, must be able to work 45 - 50 hours per week, excluding Sundays.
- May to September, must be able to work 55 - 65 hours per week, including weekends, excluding Wednesdays.
- September to March, must be able to work 40 - 45 hours per week, excluding weekends.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
