Job Summary | The Alumni Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and managing a variety of alumni programs, specifically chapter programs and activities for Rensselaer alumni, parents, and friends. These activities include chapter leadership and volunteer committee development and succession planning, development of regional alumni events, and event-planning and coordination with IA staff. The Engagement Officer manages assigned affinity areas and will support the portfolios philanthropic goals. |

Job Summary | Endowed Constellation Faculty in Future Chips at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute We are especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated ability to perform high impact research in semiconductor technology to address the next generation challenges in computing. Areas of focus are rooted in fundamental science and engineering that drive advances in microelectronics, such as heterogeneous integration, advanced logic, advanced packaging, and power electronics. Physics of materials is also important to making these advances and is, therefore, an area of interest. The ideal candidates are expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded, scientific program in chip technology for the future of computing. The Future Chips Constellation will be a key stakeholder in the Center for Materials, Devices, and Integrated Systems (cMDIS) which houses the Microscale and Nanoscale Cleanroom and the Nanoscale Characterization Core. Job Summary | The Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Experimental Quantum Optics, Quantum Entanglement & Quantum Information. Possible research areas include, but are not limited to, single-photon qubit manipulations, quantum interconnects, entangled-photon light-matter interactions, quantum information transmission, and quantum entanglement and decoherence. This hire would be part of a bold effort at RPI to strengthen and extend our current faculty cluster in Quantum Information, aligned with the broader research initiatives in the RPI Forward 10-year Strategic Plan. The candidate would also interact with our current Physics faculty on non-linear and quantum optics and photon entanglement, as well as with researchers from Material Science and Electrical Engineering. Job Summary | The Department of Biological Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Cellular Neuroscience. We seek a passionate and innovative individual in the field of neuroscience, with a particular focus on quantitative and cell/organismal biology, whose research focuses on the use of model systems to understand the fundamental biology of the nervous system, particularly the role of plasticity in the aging brain and the fundamental biology of neurogenerative disease. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated potential to establish a strong externally funded research program and contribute to the teaching mission of the department. This position is part of a faculty cluster hire funded by support from the Simons Foundation designed to stimulate research in the basic sciences across New York State. | |
Minimum Qualifications | All candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, or foreign degree equivalent in biology and/or neuroscience or a closely related field. Postdoctoral experience is required. Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must exhibit promise of future distinction in research, scholarship, and teaching. Specifically, candidates who have the demonstrated potential to establish a strong externally funded research program, primarily in cellular or organismal neuroscience are desired. All exceptional candidates will be considered, and we especially encourage applications from individuals who will bring both experimental and computational research approaches and skill sets to address fundamental problems in neuroscience. A candidate who complements existing strengths at Rensselaer and who can leverage existing platforms such as the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Imaging in Medicine, or the Rensselaer Future of Computing Institute (FOCI) is desired. We seek candidates who are experienced in the use of sophisticated experimental and quantitative techniques applied towards the study of cellular neuroscience using any relevant model system, with the goal of understanding the fundamental biology of the nervous system, and/or role of plasticity in both healthy and aging brains, and to contribute to the teaching mission of the department. Job Summary | These are fixed term positions, and may be seasonal, depending on the sport and the need. The incumbents provide coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach of relevant team; and may oversee one or more specified areas of a sporting discipline or a component of a team.
