Job Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager will play a critical role in managing the infrastructure, processes, and tools necessary to support RPI’s marketing initiatives. The Manager will implement and optimize marketing technology, develop workflows, analyze performance, and enable cross-departmental collaboration to achieve university goals. This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Marketing and Communications in The Office of Community Engagement and Communication (OCEC).

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and optimize marketing workflows and processes to support strategic initiatives across the university
• Manage and maintain marketing technology platforms (CRM, CMS) ensuring optimal performance and integration
• Analyze marketing performance data to provide actionable insights to inform decision-making
• Oversee the development and maintenance of marketing dashboards, including for data collection, and KPIs
• Manage vendor relationships for marketing tools and services
• Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to drive marketing efficiency
• Support budget planning and tracking for marketing operations and campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

• B.A. in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Five (5) or more years of experience in marketing operations or a related role
• Technically savvy with strong marketing technology experience
• Experience managing budgets

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or comparable environment is a plus 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong proficiency with marketing technology including email platforms, CMS, CRM, analytics (e.g., Monday.com, Slate, Salesforce, Google Analytics)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data and provide insights
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

• Knowledge of higher education marketing is a plus.

Shift

Business Hours, Monday through Friday. Weekends or evenings occasionally required.

This position is eligible for hybrid or remote work options.

Incidental driving possible, but not required

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $70,000 - $90,000

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
