Job Summary | The Assistant Director of Assessment works in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) with a primary focus on fostering a culture of assessment and continuous quality improvement efforts among faculty and administration. The Assistant Director will provide ongoing assistance and training to faculty and staff on best practices in assessment to improve student learning and program effectiveness. The Assistant Director will play a key role in coordinating the assessment of general education (core outcomes). The Assistant Director will additionally develop, administer, analyze and report on surveys is a central aspect of this role. The Assistant Director of Assessment reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. |

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Systems and Database Management: Acts as the primary point of contact for user inquiries related to database usage and third-party products. Conducts routine database maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for technology issues, ensuring optimal system performance. Leads regular reviews of systems and AIS processes to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implement best practices. Manages all aspects of 3rd party relationships, including data integration, transfer protocols, transmission schedules, evaluations, and system troubleshooting.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Develops and disseminates reports and information to College Relations as well as campus partners, ensuring data integrity and compliance with College policies, IRS regulations, and industry best practices. Provides guidance and quality control for data production, collaboratively improving procedures for efficiency. Oversees data distribution for external purposes, such as reporting for Annual Giving and Major Gift peer groups. Works with stakeholders to assess reporting needs, develops reports and visualizations, and monitors adoption of reporting strategies.
Collaboration and Staff Development: Contributes to team initiatives, projects, communications, and implementations, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Trains, mentors, and motivates AIS staff in utilizing new technologies and systems effectively. Leads application training and internal documentation development to support all College Relations personnel. Facilitates coordination with campus partners such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Finance, and Athletics to address data gaps and manage data requests effectively. Participates in execution of College Relations events and contributes to campus initiatives and priorities as opportunities arise.
Innovation: Understands business needs and identifies creative solutions using appropriate technology and analytical skills. Drives continuous improvement initiatives, advocating for data-driven decision-making and change. Contributes to the development and execution of an annual strategic plan for Advancement Information Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, information systems and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or 3-5 years work experience preferred.
Detailed knowledge of best practices for advancement operations and development programs is preferred.
Previous experience working in higher education is preferred.
Flexible in the face of challenges and able to advocate for change.
Experience in supervising teams or departments, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively.
Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities with the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.
Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow staff colleagues.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $61,000-$70,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary | The Program Manager, Supplementary Education has primary responsibility for providing learning support services for students. As a Residential Assistant Supervisor, you will supervise staff who provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing body standards and requirements. You will report to the Residential Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans
- Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.

The Residential Supervisor in charge will ensure the security of campus and community residential locations, including working with staff, maintaining communication with resident’s family and guardians, and overseeing resident transportation needs. You will report to the Online/Oncall supervisor and you will work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure implementation of all applicable emergency systems, agency policies, and program procedures.
- Respond to crises within assigned Residential Program/locations. Ensure response follows agency policy and protocol appropriate to the situation, and ensure that the individual clients behavior management plan(s) are followed. Ensure any physical intervention is conducted following TCI standards. Ensure completion of all forms and appropriate documentation of every restraint.
- Provide support to teams when asked for behavioral interventions and events. Will direct the team in absence of residential supervisor and will be a source of training , supporting and modeling for other staff.
- Ensure the security of campus and community locations, responding to any security concerns. Conduct random checks of assigned locations to ensure safety of residents.

Information Technology Services (ITS), the central IT provider at the University at Albany, seeks applicants for a Desktop and Mobile Computing (D&MC) Senior Endpoint Management Specialist. ITS manages and supports nearly 7,000 university-owned faculty/staff, classroom, conference room, and research lab desktops and mobile devices. The D&MC Endpoint Management Specialist is a senior position that is key to continuous improvement and delivery of services in this large-scale operation.
The D&MC Senior Endpoint Management Specialist is a subject matter expert in desktop and mobile computing and provides technical leadership within service teams. They address and resolve complex and non-standard requests and issues. They develop and maintain strong expertise in enterprise management applications and tools (i.e., Active Directory, MECM, AllSight, Jamf, etc.) and steer the selection and usage of each in achieving ITS' goals and adhering to ITS' principles and standards.
The D&MC Senior Endpoint Management Specialist understands the importance of well-defined processes and promoting their adoption across large service teams to successfully manage the pace and volume of work required to support thousands of devices. The successful Senior Endpoint Management Specialist independently identifies process challenges and recommends and assists in implementing actionable improvements and solutions to the D&MC Manager. They monitor the flow of real-time work and act to address operational problems.
Under the leadership and direction of the D&MC Manager, the Senior Endpoint Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring internal and customer-facing documentation is created, accurate, and updated regularly. They understand the value of documentation in promoting clarity and cohesion for large service teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Enterprise management applications and tools (i.e., Active Directory, MECM, AllSight, Jamf, etc.)
• Ensure that all enterprise desktop and mobile device management applications and tools are maintained, and versions updated in a timely fashion and adhere to ITS standards, controls, security policies and procedures.
• Build and maintain advanced technical expertise in ITS' enterprise desktop and mobile device management applications and tools.
• Stay abreast of advances in the field and steer technical direction in D&MC, following ITS' architecture review protocols.
• Asset inventory maintenance, cyclical planning, budgeting, and related projects
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of how the inventory data structure, operational processes to add/remove/update records, inventory dashboards and reports, and project workload planning all play a role in planning cyclic replacement of all D&MC assets.
• Regularly report on anomalies and potential problems in the asset inventories for all supported services and work to resolve.
• Maintain, provide reports and update replacement schedule and replacement cost fields in the asset inventories for all supported service areas to support budgeting and planning processes.
• Endpoints service standards, efficient operations and consistent user experiences
• Provide subject matter expertise, oversee and continuously evaluate hardware and software deployment and support processes, their effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Determine and document the standard workstation and printer models and configurations for various use cases including fac/staff, classrooms, conference rooms, research labs; refresh standards, as needed.
• Oversee the internal and external documentation and maintain all approved desktop and mobile computing standards for the University.
• Regularly report on workstation hardware, operating systems, software, and printers at risk or outside of defined standards and work to resolve.
• Determine and document operating system versions used for deployments; determine and manage upgrade cycles.
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of operations and service offerings
• Prepare technical diagrams, configuration logs, process maps, internal and external knowledge base articles, and other documentation, as needed.
