Job Summary | The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track (or tenured) faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Business Analytics/Supply Chain Management starting Fall 2024. Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated evidence to produce original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join the School either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate degree programs in supply chain and business analytics, as well as provide service to the School of Management and to Rensselaer. The position requires excellence in research in the area of supply chain and analytics, effective written communication skills, and strong technical skills in areas such as analytical modeling, data management, machine learning and computation. Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and Blockchain and in topics relevant to global shifts in supply chains would be a plus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with and develop research initiatives aligned both within the Lally School and with the new strategic research initiatives at Rensselaer. Computer Deployment Specialist (18 months) (2 positions)

Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Computer Deployment Specialist to support a campus-wide project to replace all non-Windows 11 compatible computers by Fall 2025. This is a large project with a tight timeline. Faculty, staff, conference room, classroom, and research lab computers will be replaced.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the Field Support (FSG) Deployment Group, which will work as a specialized team to deploy all new computers quickly and efficiently. The FSG Deployment Group will support the preparation and deployment/installation of new computers, including installing software, setting up peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and removing and securely disposing of old computers. The FSG Deployment Group will deploy computers across three campus locations as appointments and rooms are scheduled with faculty and staff.
This position reports to the FSG Deployment Group Supervisor. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively under challenging circumstances. They must also be able to complete work within scheduled time constraints. Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications is required. The candidate must also be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
The successful candidate must be able to anticipate and support customers with a wide range of technological expertise. This work requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to follow pre-defined processes and workflows to ensure standardization, and the ability to balance both the technical and basic functional expectations of the position.
Primary responsibilities:
As a member of the FSG Deployment Group, follow and assist with pre-defined processes and workflows as assigned, including:
- Activities to support new computer deliveries and maintenance of storage and work areas.
- Configure computers and run OS deployment.
- Accurately update machine and person data in Active Directory and the appropriate inventory, reporting, project, and management tools.
- Prepare computers for daily delivery and deployment to designated offices, classrooms, conference rooms, or designated staging areas.
- Deploy and set up new computers in faculty and staff offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and research labs.
- Install titles from the Software Catalog or Software Portfolio on faculty or staff computers.
- Install peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)-may require installing drivers or adding to a printer queue.
- Resolve or report for further action any remaining questions or issues as requested by a customer or noted during computer setup.
- Remove old computers by returning them to the designated location and prepare them for secure disposal.
- Complete work within scheduled time constraints and maintain a good working schedule that allows work and daily responsibilities to be completed as scheduled.
Other responsibilities, as assigned:
- Receive, assist, diagnose, document, and resolve incidents, service requests, or assigned project tasks in faculty/staff offices, classrooms, conference rooms, and research labs located across three campuses using a variety of modes of support (including conferencing tools, in person, or both) following all prescribed workflows and pre-defined processes.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of experience supporting, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computers and peripherals, working directly with customers.
- Working knowledge of common desktop and mobile devices, operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity applications software (i.e., Microsoft Office), and conferencing tools such as Zoom or Teams.
- Shows ability to be self-motivated and work independently and within a team structure.
- Demonstrated ability to work with customers with varying levels of computer expertise, from beginner to advanced users.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting all University desktop and mobile computing endpoints (Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux) with expertise in Apple operating systems. The successful candidate has the knowledge and skills to provide guidance and oversight for the enterprise management of university devices, with a particular focus on macOS and iOS devices. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment in one of four University Centers in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
The Specialist works on service and project teams in support of the University's research, teaching and learning, information security, and infrastructure services. They develop and rely on tools and processes for the enterprise management of all University workstations and devices, including the deployment of operating systems, applications, and patches, secure and reliable operations, and maintaining an accurate device inventory. As the ITS subject matter expert for Apple operating systems, they recommend standards, guidelines, and procedures to enhance and improve service delivery for the management of macOS and iOS devices on behalf of the campus community. ITS may further invest in this position by supporting professional development activities, such as earning certifications, to advance expertise in relevant areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Specialist in Apple Operating Systems (macOS, iOS) and Endpoints
- Serve as ITS' subject matter expert in Apple operating systems and devices.
- Implement, operate, and maintain Apple OS and software distribution using appropriate enterprise management tools (i.e., Jamf).
- Employ best practices to automate the configuration and management of Apple endpoints and support MacOS across a range of versions.
- Develop and maintain tools and procedures to include and update all University-owned Apple devices in the asset inventory.
- Work with distributed IT units to promulgate and promote ITS' standardized enterprise tools, practices, and procedures for the management of Apple devices.
General Desktop and Mobile Computing Support
- Contribute to the development, testing, documentation, and operationalization of workstation, mobile device, printer, and software deployment processes, procedures, and scripts.
- Proactively test new operating system versions and features, new device drivers, and new application versions and integrate changes into deployment processes to maintain currency.
- Use enterprise management tools and develop scripts to remotely configure, support, and maintain all University desktops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Work within service teams to resolve service desk incidents and service requests in accordance with ITS' service management and project management processes and workflows.
- Serve as a point of escalation for Field Support Specialists; deploying to the field, as needed.
- Develop and maintain both customer-facing knowledgebase articles and ITS-internal documentation, taking the lead on information related to Apple and Mac endpoints.
- Consider, develop, recommend, and implement operational work and service improvements.
- Stay abreast of industry practices and tools for enterprise management of endpoints.
- Manage and operate test environments for all service offerings; conduct field tests, as warranted.
- Ensure service level agreements and operational level agreements are followed consistently.
Application Administration and Configuration
- Install, administer, and configure server-based applications that enable enterprise management of desktop and mobile devices, printers, and software.
Additional Responsibilities

Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. Job Description: Waypoint seeks a qualified, motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Geospatial Associate -Sales and Order Fulfillment Specialist. This position is integral to the company's growth and presents a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and product lines.
The successful candidate will coordinate sale orders and fulfillment with our sales team and clients. Additionally, this individual will maintain client registrations for hardware warranty and software maintenance and coordinate proactive outreach to our clients regarding renewals and similar opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the fulfillment of client sales and e-commerce orders.
• Respond to incoming customer sales inquiries via phone, email, and the Waypoint website.
• Update and maintain Waypoint’s product registration system database and communicate with clients regarding hardware warranty and software maintenance expiration dates.
• Identify and coordinate new warranty and software sales opportunities with Waypoint sales consultants and clients.
Qualifications:
• College degree, preferably a bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a related position and field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in the Geospatial industry and existing knowledge of Trimble products and solutions is preferred but not explicitly required.
• Strong technical skills to develop programs and systems to improve operation efficiencies. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to lift items to 50 pounds.
• This is an in-person position.
Compensation and Benefits: The starting pay rate for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience. Additionally, there is the opportunity to earn additional compensation during the year based on overtime and performance.
In addition, the following employee benefits would be offered:
• 15 paid vacation days in the first year of employment, increasing to 20 days per year after five years.
• 40 hours of paid sick time per year.
• Health insurance coverage: Waypoint covers 70 percent of individual and family plan premiums.
• Eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored retirement plan within two years of employment or sooner: Company matches up to 4%.

Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Research Technology Analyst. The successful candidate works closely with the research community across a wide range of disciplines to deliver analytical and computational IT solutions in a complex, Carnegie 1 research environment. As part of the university's commitment to advancing scholarship and training to the next generation of scientists, the Research Technology Analyst works directly with researchers from pre-grant consultation to managing systems and equipment for ongoing endeavors. They play a critical role in supporting, informing, and promoting IT services throughout the research lifecycle.
The Research Technology Analyst is intellectually curious, creative, and enjoys working with others to identify ways that sophisticated technologies can be used to explore complex problems. They have the knowledge and expertise to balance the needs of individual researchers while addressing security, compliance, and policy requirements in a sophisticated research environment. Primary Responsibilities:
Managing relationships/advocating on behalf of the research community:
- Foster and maintain communication with researchers of the University and with others in ITS regarding service planning and delivery.
- Work with researchers and other technology professionals to address the complex needs of the research enterprise while promoting and maintaining ITS standards and best practices regarding technical architectural, security, policy, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and administer research systems/applications development and account management.
- Provide subject matter expertise for advanced data analytics/statistics, visualization, and computational technologies for a range of applications in a research setting.
- Provide and support the development of researchers' technical skill sets.
Delivering analytical and computational IT solutions to the academic and research community:
- Maintain and support research application hosting.
- Implement and maintain managed scientific computing environments.
- Maintain the security posture for assigned systems and applications in accordance with ITS policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of research systems standards.
- Organize and modify research storage requirements.
- Provide research Linux support.
- Coordinate with researchers and ITS field support staff to maintain specialized desktop and research lab workstations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Actively participate, as needed, in ITS and campus projects.
- Be available to provide scheduled support and consultation outside normal business hours, including occasional evenings, holidays, or weekends, within reasonable professional obligation and expectation.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- At least 2 years' experience with the following:
- Command line interface (CLI)
- Working with and managing scalable or parallel programming
- Automating common tasks in Linux using a scripting language such as Bash or Python
- Experience working with a variety of scientific software packages and environments.

- Fundamentals of data management, preservation, and reproducibility
