Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision to registered nurses for Office of Mental Health units
- Oversee medication management
- Complete the nursing assessment, evaluation and treatment plans
- Collaborate with in-house staff regarding concerns and behaviors
- Communicate with medical director/providers regarding changes in client’s health/behavior

Requirements and Education:
- RN Licensed in New York State/ BSN preferred

POSITION OVERVIEW
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric services as assigned

The Behavioral Health program and the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a shared role working between our Schenectady NY location and our Rensselaer NY location. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive Psychiatric services to adults and youth who are enrolled in our outpatient clinic program and a 28-person caseload of youth enrolled in our Youth ACT program. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be able to seechildren.
Responsibilities:

Description of Duties (This is a brief summary of the hiring department and the duties of the role):
The Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating training related aspects of the Public Health Infrastructure project with the NYSDOH, including assuring that the deliverables are met on time and within budget. The coordinator will also serve as a member of the Center for Public Health Education team in overall planning an organizational improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Both measurable and soft skill requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in a health profession, nursing, health education, public health, human services, social work, adult education, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the coordination of a public health or human services based training and professional development program
- Experience implementing a training plan or timeline.
- Experience working with a team of professionals to accomplish project-based deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Evidence of organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Experience working with state agencies
- Ability to relate effectively to people from diverse backgrounds, including an understanding and respect for group/social differences (e.g., race/ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, country of origin, and ability as well as cultural, political, religious, or other affiliations) and individual differences (e.g., personality, prior knowledge, and life experiences)

Description
As a Medical Assistant, you will manage the administrative duties associated with nursing support for youth in out-of-home care. You will help the program ensure youth get their care in a timely manner and that we are meeting their health and well-being needs. You will report to the Senior Director of Nursing and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Call established providers and arrange for medical appointments in timelines laid out by regulations.
- Ensure the program has documentation from each medical provider visit.
- Call insurance companies to request prior authorization for new medications.
- Assist in tracking and obtaining consent for youth.
- Make provider visit packets including face sheet, list of current medications, and consent forms.
- Triage phone calls to the nursing unit and direct them to the proper nurse.
- Assist in ordering medical supplies.
- Keep electronic medical records up to date including recording scheduled appointments, results of visits, and provider documentation.
Requirements and Education:
- At least six months of experience.
- Medical Assistant certification.

- Collaborate with teacher and other staff to incorporate information provided by parents, doctors, nurses, therapists and others to understand the needs of and provide services for students.
- Always monitor safety and well-being of students; monitor student attitudes and encourage positive behavior and interactions with peers.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested by the teacher and principal
