Job Summary	The Academic Support Engineer (or Senior) provides technical support for fabrication resources within the School of Engineering, including the Forge (student maker space), BioMed FabLab, and MILL. The Academic Support Engineer collaborates with faculty and staff to initiate and update advanced manufacturing curriculum ensuring it remains at the forefront of advanced manufacturing education. This position also maintains the current manufacturing equipment while staying up to date on new manufacturing technologies and equipment. Additionally, this person coordinates with faculty on manufacturing classes and instructs Computer-Aided Machining and General Manufacturing Processes Classes.
Minimum Qualifications	Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, manufacturing or electrical engineering, industrial technology or related field Five (5) years of related experience as a systems engineer in manufacturing, fabrication and design, or computer aided engineering, which includes: Experience in technical instruction in a mechanical, manufacturing or industrial related field Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications	Masters Degree in related discipline

Representative Job Duties	Assist as needed in the daily operations of the School of Engineering fabrication facilities and Forge in compliance with accreditation standards, safety regulations, and other applicable requirements. Manage and authorize use of the facility, resources, equipment utilization and maintenance to ensure reliable operation of the facilities. - Provide input for strategic direction and guide day to day operations for SOE Manufacturing Facilities and Forge. This includes equipment, process upgrades and modernization, shop use, layout, information technology infrastructure, and club and class management. Deliver various MPS and AMPS Lab modules as assigned Teach CAM and GMP. Participate in development and updating of lab module content, experiments, and assessment material to constantly improve educational offerings in advanced manufacturing and assembly. Provide engineering expertise to faculty involved in manufacturing and assembly courses including but not limited to course module development and delivery in advanced smart manufacturing. Apply engineering theory to researching, identifying, and recommending new equipment, systems, and software options for SoE Fabrication Facilities. This includes systems design, contacting vendors, scheduling demonstrations, and installation. Provide direct engineering guidance, technical expertise, and fabrication support to undergraduate and graduate students for class and student clubs projects. Manage, interview, select, train, and schedule teaching assistants assigned to SOE Manufacturing Facilities and Forge. Ensure on-going and frequent monitoring of students for compliance with safety policies and protocols. Develop, maintain and distribute Standard Operating and Safety Procedures for fabrication facilities. Serve as a member of the SOE Safety Committee. Support various SOE outreach efforts through development of curriculum, participation in Open Houses, providing STEM presentations, etc. including tours for internal and external constituents. Job Summary	The Maintenance Mechanic/Plumber performs a wide range of repair and maintenance duties primarily related to plumbing equipment and systems. Performs maintenance and repair work on but not limited to utility infrastructure, building systems, steam heating systems, laboratories, exhaust fans, pumps, and air compressors. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications	• HS diploma or equivalent • Three (3) years of experience in plumbing and piping • Valid US Driver’s license • Must have the ability to be medically qualified for respirator use Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.
Preferred Qualifications	• Experience in industrial plumbing, steam fitting and/or piping

Job Duties	Plan and perform repair, maintenance and installation work (including insulation) supporting campus buildings, utilities and infrastructure including, but not limited to, plumbing heating, cooling, fire protection, storm sewer, water, and laboratory gas. Essential Repair and install steam-and condensate lines; support the operation of central steam plants. Test and troubleshoot systems and equipment including assessment of problem and identification of repair options. Complete repair work; promptly call for assistance when necessary; follow-up to verify resolution of problems. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic/Plumber performs a wide range of repair and maintenance duties primarily related to plumbing equipment and systems. Plans, coordinates, and directs crew when assignments are in the specialty area of plumbing and/or pipefitting. Performs maintenance and repair work on but not limited to utility infrastructure, building systems, steam heating systems, laboratories, exhaust fans, pumps, and air compressors. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures. Assist Supervisor in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies by identifying non-stock parts and materials needed, including ID, quantity, and potential vendors. Order parts as assigned. Utilize the CMMS data base to review and update equipment repair history and WO’s. Essential Maintain, repair and install equipment such as satellite boilers, furnaces, ventilation fans, air compressors, and pumps.

Job Summary	The HVAC/r Technician, Sr. will plan and perform complex and diversified duties for maintenance, repair and installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chilled water, heating and ventilation systems and associated controls. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures. Refrigeration Emphasis: The technician will troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems, including air conditioning and cooling units. This involves addressing issues like leaks, electrical faults, and mechanical problems in these systems to ensure optimal cooling performance. Skill Level: Refrigeration work in this role requires foundational knowledge of refrigeration systems and basic troubleshooting skills to restore functionality.
Minimum Qualifications	H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Thorough knowledge of HVAC/r equipment, controls, and operating strategies acquired through a minimum of five (5) years of related and progressively more responsible experience. (This position has an emphasis on refrigeration experience) OR Associate’s Degree in HVAC/r Four (4) years of related and progressively responsible experience to include: HVAC and control system installation and maintenance experience EPA Refrigeration Certification to handle EPA Type 1 and 2 or Universal refrigerant within 120 days of hire. (This position has an emphasis on refrigeration experience) AND All candidates must have Valid US driver’s license required Must have the ability to be medically qualified for respirator use Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.
