Custodian - Team Leader
Position purpose: Oversees the custodial staff and ensures that assigned campus facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Supervises custodian staff, performs cleaning duties, and maintains high standards of cleanliness. Coordinates work schedules, assigns tasks, and provides training to custodial team members.
Pay status and classification: Non-exempt, Regular full-time.
Supervisor: Manager of Building Services and Work Order Systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Leads, supervises, and coordinates the activities of the custodial team to ensure all assigned tasks are completed. Assesses job performance of custodians for yearly evaluation. Prioritizes/schedules work to be done by custodians. Ensures custodians have completed their assigned tasks in each area.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Performs regular cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. Utilizing cleaning equipment such as butler van, ride on scrubbers, and advanced cleaning equipment. Conducts regular inspections of all areas ensuring areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Provides coverage for absent staff to maintain cleaning standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicates effectively with the Supervisor of Building Maintenance and other staff members about cleaning schedules, and needs. Resolves any custodian related concerns promptly. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
- Operations: Monitors and manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Executes special cleaning tasks as requested, beyond routine daily cleaning duties. Stays informed about standards for the use, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Supports the work request system's administrative functions related to cleaning tasks.
- Administration: Processes monthly requests for cleaning supplies. Approves bi-weekly time sheets for all applicable custodians. Attends seminars and other courses of study designed to improve job performance. Complies with departmental and college policies and procedures. Schedules all vacation and absence time off for their team. Schedules appropriate staffing for major events such as ReUnion, Commencement, Trustees, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of custodial experience. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience within a custodial environment is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling, and disposal procedures.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, and bending, as well as the capability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Compensation

- Cleaning and Maintenance: Removes office and building trash. Washes windows, cleans showers, bathrooms, and public areas using wet/dry mop, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths and cleaning solutions. Follows safety instructions/procedures related to clothing, gloves, goggles, masks and use of cleaning chemicals. Cleans, strips and waxes tile and floors. Shampoos and extracts carpeting. Maintains vacuums and other equipment by making simple adjustments such as installing new vacuum bags and mop heads, moving equipment from location to location as necessary. Removes snow from entryways and walkways.
- Event Preparation Assistance: Assists with special events including but not limited to table and chair setup.
- Additional Tasks: Pitches in to assist colleagues when needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

Supervisor: Supervisor of Electrical
Position Purpose: Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in residential, and commercial College owned properties according to job specifications and local codes. Follows and enforce safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operations: Meets the electrical needs of the campus community by performing work requests, emergencies, and special set-ups for faculty, staff and students. Works with various departments in order to achieve common goals and desires. Duties include: Ballast/driver, switch/receptacle, and breaker/feeder replacements.
- Maintenance: Performs and maintains functionality of equipment and systems, including: emergency lighting, switchgear, variable frequency drives, motor control centers, transformers, and battery back-up systems. Conducts monthly preventive maintenance in order to minimize equipment downtime.
- Projects: Plans and lays out work accordingly with knowledge and understanding of reading blueprints. Contributes to team projects consisting of lighting retrofits, additional circuitry, Electrical vehicle (EV) charger installations, and feeder upgrades.
- Trouble-Shooting: Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes. Identifies and diagnoses electrical issues. Collaborates with team members on finding the best approach while leading to set an example. Reads and interprets one-line diagrams in order to diagnose failures, and develops new skills through hands-on training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, two-year technical trade school, or apprenticeship program, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Five years as a Journeyman Electrician, experience in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Valid Commercial Electrician’s License, preferably in Schenectady, Albany, or Troy.
- Available for round-the-clock emergency response both on and off campus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe software.
- Knowledge of medium voltage three phase systems (13.2KV), WYE/DELTA and low voltage systems (24, 120, 208, 277, and 480v).
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, diagnose motor and motor control failures, and capacity to grow and develop skills through hands-on training.

We are seeking a high energy, motivated Point of Sale Warehouse Associate in our Coxsackie, NY facility.
The primary responsibility of the POS Warehouse Associate is to receive, warehouse, distribute and manage POS materials, samples and will-calls. Help Merchandiser in the construction and installation of custom displays. Clean and organize POS warehouse, shop (area where custom displays are constructed) and rebate/shelf talker area.
Manage POS Materials
- Employee handles the receiving of all POS.
- Break down, divide, and organize POS.
- Put away all POS in its designated location of the warehouse.
- Continuously condense POS to make room for new POS.
- Discard expired POS as directed by supervisor.
- Update inventory of all POS on the Data Report and POS System (min 3 times per week)
- Distribute POS to sales reps and Managers or prepare for delivery to accounts as requested. (Place in cubbies or as directed)
- Manage rebates and shelf talkers. Clean and organize this section of the warehouse making sure expiration dates are clearly marked on rebate boxes and expired ones are discarded.
Manage Samples and Will-calls
- Receive and check in samples and will-calls from warehouse or transfer truck.
- Lock up all product in the designated secured area of the warehouse.
- Distribute to the sales reps and managers with proper documentation. (Printed name and signature from recipients as the sample policy states)
Merchandising Responsibilities
- Install both special displays and stock POS by working with merchandisers, customers, and sales management on the coordination of timing and location of displays.
- Daily monitoring of POS System to check for ordered displays awaiting installation.
- Input completed displays into the POS system in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations including company vans (maintenance) and work area.
Safety Protocol
- Perform daily safety checks on all equipment before use, confirming accordance with specific equipment requirements and maintain these records for 30 days.
- Maintain safety certification on all machinery used on the job. (Forklifts, pallet jacks and cardboard compactor)
- Wear all safety devices required (safety harness, vest and safety shoes)
General Responsibilities
- Receive and distribute incoming packages (FedEx and UPS) to designated recipients.
- Set up and break down salesroom for meetings.
- Help Merchandisers in the construction of custom display pieces.
- Assist in the installation of custom displays when needed.
- Assemble stock POS for distribution (display racks and mass pieces)
- Run deliveries when needed.
Housekeeping/Cleaning
- Clean POS Warehouse (sweep floors and pickup any loose plastic wrap or debris on floor and pallets)
- Clean and organize rebate and shelf talker area of the warehouse.
- Dispose of garbage and expired POS into dumpster.
- Clear and salt walkways at office when needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

We are seeking a high energy, motivated Night Warehouse Supervisor in our Coxsackie, NY Distribution Center.
The primary duties of the Night Shift Supervisor will strive to achieve the production and
distribution objectives of the company using supervisory methods and coaching techniques. Is
responsible for warehouse training, developing warehouse personnel to ensure accurate, on
time, and damage free movement of product shipped out of the warehouse. Will help build a
team environment of well-trained employees. Employ excellent communication skills to facilitate
completion of night shift job duties. Follow and promote the accepted safety practices to
maintain a safe working environment. Emphasis will be placed on proper truck loading and
breakage and damaged product control ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Position will also learn the processes and serve as a back up to the night managers in the areas
of shift production set up; understanding how to and executing on waving, label creation, job
assignment, invoicing, and other administrative tasks as needed to ensure successful night shift
work completion in the absence of the night shift Manager.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
• Must be able to multi-task and stay on top of highly complex processes with a large
amount of data.
• Must be able to maintain composure and stay focused in times of stress.
• Must be able to recognize problems at an early stage and be able to communicate and
trouble shoot to resolve the problems.
• Must possess good communication skills to keep night management fully apprised of
situations that arise. When necessary, will need to contact technical support to resolve

• Supervises warehouse union employees. Working knowledge and a thorough
