Job Summary | The Student Services Coordinator serves in the Office of Undergraduate Student Services, located in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering. The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities relating to the recruitment of new undergraduate students to the department, the retention and satisfaction of current students, and support of accreditation assessment activities. In addition, the Coordinator will be the first student-facing individual addressing general inquiries and questions for MANE students and faculty and is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for the School of Engineering and MANE. The Coordinator reports to the Senior Student Services Administrator. The Coordinator is expected to work independently and as part of a team of student-focused service providers. |

Description
As the Behavior Support Classroom Specialist, you will ensure the safety of the students in the Alternative Programming Room. You will coordinate clinical, academic, and restorative efforts for students in APR. You will report to the Dean of Students and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily schedule for Alternative Programming Room with teaching staff, classroom staff, and clinicians.
- Coordinate Restorative Practices efforts with the administrative team
- Communicate with leadership team regarding incidents and interventions.
- Support and correct behavior support staff interactions and interventions with students.
- Ensure that APR support staff follow school and agency procedures while working with students.
- Coordinate with treatment teams and families regarding behavioral concerns that are affecting the milieu and academic programming.
- Help design and implement treatment services for children in collaboration with students, educators, administrators, and clinicians.
- Assist and educate staff with implementation of crisis intervention work, conflict resolution, and mediation strategies throughout the school.
- Be a school liaison with residential staff to ensure consistency of care and support of students across programs.
- Participate in implementation of PBIS Tier II and Tier III student plans.
- Collaborate with all members of the school and clinical treatment team to ensure ongoing communication and consistency of interventions and treatment for students.
- Ensure that all reporting forms are completed and returned to the appropriate source.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student information observing agency, state, and federal regulators.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Job Summary | The Academic Support Engineer (or Senior) provides technical support for fabrication resources within the School of Engineering, including the Forge (student maker space), BioMed FabLab, and MILL. We seek socio-cultural candidates whose research addresses and who can teach courses on: environmental anthropology, economic anthropology, science and technology studies, public health, and/or indigeneity. We are especially interested in candidates who can also offer courses on gender and/or religion (particularly Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism) and who could potentially develop an ethnographic field school. In terms of geographic expertise, preference will be given to candidates who work in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South, East, or Southeast Asia or amongst indigenous people of Oceania or the Americas, but we will also consider other areas not currently represented by faculty in the department. Candidates with Ph.D. in anthropology in hand and teaching experience are preferred, but ABD candidates, as well as candidates in closely related fields are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will teach six courses over three ten-week trimesters.
About the Anthropology Department:
The Department prides itself on strong teaching and on building relationships with students. Department members are all active scholars who support each other’s scholarship and who value the integration of research and teaching. The department has a long tradition of field schools (currently running in Fiji and India) where students do hands-on research. Anthropology at Union contributes to many interdisciplinary programs and to the Complex Questions general education curriculum that focuses on global challenges and on social justice. Position description:
The Department of Psychology at Union College, Schenectady, New York, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in Neuroscience. Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field is required; degree in hand by appointment date is preferable. Area of research specialization is less important than research that is programmatic and theoretically directed toward understanding the human brain. Areas of research that would complement our existing department include any using neuroscientific and/or computational neuroscientific approaches to study: sensation and perception; cognition broadly; memory; complex cognition; diversity; culture; social/emotional cognition; judgment and decision making; and/or neuroeconomics. Ability to teach, advise, and mentor a diverse population of undergraduates is essential. Please note: Our department is also hiring for the position of Assistant Professor in COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY. We welcome applications for both positions, but require each application to be separately submitted.
Our new colleague will offer 2 courses per trimester at a variety of levels, including a combination of some of the following: introductory psychology, statistics, introductory neuroscience, lab courses in cognitive neuroscience and/or sensation and perception, as well as an upper-level neuroscience seminar within the applicant’s domain, and/or other courses that could contribute to Union’s College’s interdisciplinary Neuroscience major.
We also welcome a colleague with the ability to provide a psychological or neuroscientific perspective on topics that contribute to the College's general education curriculum, including courses that contribute to students' understanding of and appreciation for Global Challenges and Justice, Equity, Identity, and Difference.
We expect that our new colleague will establish and maintain a vibrant Neuroscience research program that involves our undergraduate students. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering welcomes applicants with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduates in the field of Civil Engineering. The CEE Department currently possesses expertise in the fields of geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water quality and hydrology. We are particularly interested in increasing our capacity in the field of Structural Engineering. The new hire will teach courses in the curriculum as appropriate, including core classes and upper-level courses such as the fundamental theory of structure, as well as electives. In addition, there is an expectation that all new hires in the Department will teach at least one course annually to non-engineers ideally as part of the College’s new Complex Questions/Global Challenges and Social Justice common curriculum. The new hire will also be heavily involved in the ABET accreditation process which includes opportunities for curriculum development and assessment.
The successful candidate will also have a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration. The CEE department has a close relationship with the Environmental Science, Policy, and Engineering Program. We are seeking a candidate whose research area explores the interaction between biological systems and the environment as it relates to epidemiology and/or public health. Potential subjects of study include, but are not limited to: host-vector biology, microbiomes, evolution and transmission of infectious agents, genetic epidemiology, and environmental influences on pathogenesis. Candidates using combinations of field-based, wet-lab, genomics, and/or computational approaches are highly preferred. The Department of Biological Sciences at Union College is committed to teaching and mentoring students in the classroom and in our active research laboratories. We contribute to numerous interdisciplinary programs including Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Science and Policy, Environmental Engineering, and Nanoscience (https://www.union.edu/interdisciplinary-studies). The Program in Religious Studies at Union College seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Religion and Science. The appointee is expected to offer courses in religious studies, including in various aspects of religion and science, for the Religious Studies program, and also selected courses in philosophy for the Philosophy Department. It is also expected that the appointee’s teaching will support the General Education program (https://www.union.edu/general-education). There is an expectation that the appointee would support the work of the Templeton Institute at Union (https://www.union.edu/templeton) and take advantage of research and outreach opportunities afforded them there.
Applicants should have strong grounding in science and in religious studies, as well as hold a PhD in religious studies, philosophy, history, STEM, or other relevant field that interconnects science and the academic study of religion. Candidates who are ABD and will complete their degree by September, 2026 are welcome to apply. Demonstrated experience in teaching across science, philosophy and religion is highly valued, as is evidence of building institutional connections between religious studies and science. The Department of Psychology at Union College, Schenectady, New York, invites applications for a three-year visiting faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Area of specialization is less important than teaching and research excellence. Ability to teach, advise, and mentor a diverse population of undergraduates is essential. A PhD in Psychology by the appointment date is required.
Our new colleague will offer 2 courses per trimester (a total of 6 courses per academic year) at a variety of levels, including content courses in their area of expertise. We expect that our new colleague will establish and maintain a dynamic research program that involves our undergraduate students. Event Development Coordinator

Position Purpose:Develops revenue streams by planning, organizing, and executing successful events, meetings, and conferences at Union College, with the greatest attention to outstanding customer service. Qualifications:

Conducts routine database maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for technology issues, ensuring optimal system performance. Leads regular reviews of systems and AIS processes to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implement best practices. Manages all aspects of 3rd party relationships, including data integration, transfer protocols, transmission schedules, evaluations, and system troubleshooting.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Develops and disseminates reports and information to College Relations as well as campus partners, ensuring data integrity and compliance with College policies, IRS regulations, and industry best practices. Provides guidance and quality control for data production, collaboratively improving procedures for efficiency. Oversees data distribution for external purposes, such as reporting for Annual Giving and Major Gift peer groups. Works with stakeholders to assess reporting needs, develops reports and visualizations, and monitors adoption of reporting strategies.
Collaboration and Staff Development: Contributes to team initiatives, projects, communications, and implementations, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Trains, mentors, and motivates AIS staff in utilizing new technologies and systems effectively. Leads application training and internal documentation development to support all College Relations personnel. Facilitates coordination with campus partners such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Finance, and Athletics to address data gaps and manage data requests effectively. Participates in execution of College Relations events and contributes to campus initiatives and priorities as opportunities arise.
Innovation: Understands business needs and identifies creative solutions using appropriate technology and analytical skills. Drives continuous improvement initiatives, advocating for data-driven decision-making and change. Contributes to the development and execution of an annual strategic plan for Advancement Information Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, information systems and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or 3-5 years work experience preferred.
Detailed knowledge of best practices for advancement operations and development programs is preferred.
Previous experience working in higher education is preferred.
Flexible in the face of challenges and able to advocate for change.
Experience in supervising teams or departments, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively.
Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities with the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.
Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow staff colleagues.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $61,000-$70,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Science/Special Education Teacher
**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at a year)**
Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - no weekends
As a Science and Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support student success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principal and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations about our school and students.
- Provide individualized instruction in the area of Science to High school students in accordance and alignment with New York State curriculum standards and graduation requirements.
- Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.
- Coordinate the creation of special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred) or subject area, and the ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21.
- Requiresan NYS certification in Special Education or an appropriate subject area.
