Pre School Teacher
Sign On Bonus - $3,500 (paid in two parts)
Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm - no weekends
As a Preschool Teacher, you will provide a safe, clean, nurturing environment for children and provide a balance of open-ended exploration, guided inquiry, structured activities, and sensory-based play to foster children’s curiosity, engagement, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. You will report to the Preschool Special Education Teacher and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the non-SED children in the classroom.
- Work with the Special Education teacher to plan daily and weekly activities designed to meet the individual needs of all children.
- Facilitate all initial screenings and ongoing assessments for assigned children
- Track data for non-SED children in the classroom, including entering into the data system
- Individualize curriculum for each child’s specific strengths and areas of need.
- Assist in the provision of care for children which takes into account the educational, social, developmental, and health needs of the group, and the individual child.
- Provide a balance of open-ended exploration, teacher-guided inquiry, structured activities, and sensory-based play; foster children’s curiosity, engagement, reasoning, and problem-solving
- Demonstrate effective classroom leadership skills by the ability to provide directions, work as a part of a team, and assuring the completion of records, attendance reports, and data collection.
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
- Supervise and interact with children during family-style mealtimes, and during all activities.
- Supervise and assist children in toileting, hand washing, and dressing.
- Follow fire drills, shelter-in-place, intruder, or any emergency procedures to safely assist children as per protocols.
Requirements and Education:
- CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) OR
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Up to and including 6 months of experience.

Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm - no weekends
As a per diem Preschool Teacher Aide - Substitute, you will work with teachers in the management of a preschool classroom by providing quality care to ages 3-5 following Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines. You will report to the Preschool Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Use daily routines and observations to meet the strengths and needs of children
- Work as a team member to facilitate the programs curriculum, procedures and philosophy.
- Assist in the implementation of weekly program plans.
- Help establish a safe environment and a positive emotional tone that is supportive of the individual childs feelings by interacting with them in a supportive way.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere to encourage and facilitate ongoing parent participation and involvement.
- Participate in staff training according to program staff training plan and policies.
- Report any suspected injuries immediately to classroom staff.
- Learn and apply the program curricula to each child.
- Maintain punctuality in all interactions with children, parents, coworkers and volunteers.
- Interact positively with and provide choices to children during meal and nap times.
- Care for program equipment and supplies safely and cost-effectively.
- Assist in classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily.
- Assist children in transitioning during day when needed.
- Assist children in safely exiting from Center during fire drills and any hazardous situations.
- Adhere to agency and program standards regarding child and families confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Requirements and Education:
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in preschool preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
