Position Title: Learning Environments Services Coordinator
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular Full-time
Supervisor: Manager of Learning Environments and Event Support
Position Purpose:
To provide day-to-day coordination of learning environment services and to provide Tier 2 support of technologies within electronic classrooms and other Union facilities as well as audio-visual (A/V) support for academic classes and special events. This position provides a wide range of services and support needs for the campus community.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide Tier I & Tier II support for campus-wide sound and video projection systems, electronic classrooms, and other facilities; train faculty/staff who need to use facilities; perform basic computer troubleshooting; reinstall operating systems and applications; set up computers in classrooms and labs.
Manage all Work Study student processes to include hiring, scheduling, and training. Also, regularly update Work Study student programming.
Serves as point of contact and follows all procedures for event needs and scheduling. Work with the Office of Special Events and Conferences to provide A/V equipment and planning for special events; also support work with outside vendors to provide services for campus special events.
Manage the general maintenance, documentation, and regular inspection of electronic classrooms and other facilities.
Coordinate delivery, setup, operation and retrieval of equipment for various locations on campus.
Maintain inventory and organization of all A/V, computer equipment and peripherals, including a hardware database and asset management.
Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, generating reports, meeting and greeting campus personnel.
Assist with training and successful execution of video/web conferences.
Support with developing working relationships with outside vendors and service providers and provide assistance when they are on campus, as needed.
Continually research and monitor A/V equipment needs across the Union College campus; advise Manager of Learning Environments & Event Support of needed upgrades and equipment as they arise.
Digital media management and distribution, including audio and video recording for events and speakers, dubbing, editing, and posting online.
Assist with audio and video recording of live events, with a knowledge of video editing software applications.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Applied Sciences, Computer Information Systems, Communications, or Audio Production Technologies preferred and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
A minimum of 1 year hands-on experience with audio, video and projection systems; 2+ years preferred.
Knowledge of Windows and Apple operating systems; some understanding of networks and printers.
Proficiency with A/V and associated equipment, such as Crestron control systems.
Experience with and knowledge of sound, lighting and video systems.
Work effectively in a service-oriented environment with a variety of people and disciplines in order to respond to help requests and escalate complex issues to a higher level position as needed.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software systems to identify and resolve problems, restore service, and/or assure system integrity.
Highly detail oriented, with a critical degree of accuracy to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple time-critical tasks to meet classroom and special event needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills; ability to work independently and with others.
Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
Compensation:
The rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. As a Children's Health Home Care Manager, you will engage youth and families through outreach activities until enrollment into the Children's Health Home program. You will coordinate and monitor subsequent services to meet the needs of your members. You will report to a program supervisor, working in a hybrid model. Work will involve a combination of remote, office, and community-based settings. Local travel and personal transportation is required.
Responsibilities:
- Level I - Provides care management services to children with low and medium acuities. Care Manager will provide the required one or two services each month based on acuity and need. One of these contacts is to be in-person with the member.
- Level II - Provides care management services to low, medium, and high acuity members. Care Manager will provide a minimum of two services each month, one of which is to be in person with the member.
- Engage children, youth, and families with outreach and enrollment activities for successful enrollment into a children's health home
- Gather and complete assessments and enter documentation that confirms eligibility and acuity, identifying both strengths and areas of need
- Work w/children, youth, families, and service providers to create a comprehensive Plan of Care
- Identify and engage additional providers (e.g. natural supports, parent advocates, primary care physicians) with youth and families for the execution and continuation of the Plan of Care
- Convene and conduct Interdisciplinary team meetings to review Plan of Care; identifying progress, continued needs, and confirming ongoing eligibility
- Document progress and arrange for transitions between systems, placements, and higher levels of care following changes in eligibility and acuity.
- Use NY State and Health Home information systems to input required Health Home documentation
- Comply with Medicaid and program billing regulations

Requirements and Education:
- Level 1 - Requires an Associate's degree in Social Work or a related field, with 2 to 5 years of experience providing direct services to children, persons diagnosed with mental disabilities, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse.

Position Title: Community Director
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-time
This is a full-time, twelve-month live-in position that includes a furnished on-campus apartment including utilities with responsibility of serving on-call and supporting evening and weekend activities.
Supervisor:Director of Residential Education & Housing
Position Purpose:
Reporting to one of three Associate Directors, the Community Director (CD) is responsible for the comprehensive management of 1-2 residence halls or smaller cluster of houses, approximately 350 residents and supervising up to 12 student staff members. The CD serves as an active and visible residential life staff member that is responsible for facilitating an engaging building community-level residential experience that is highly relational; fosters curiosity and learning; centers well-being; and supports students in successfully finding their way. Primary duties and responsibilities include: implementing the residential engagement model, administration and supervision, support for student development, crisis management, student conduct administration, community development, collaboration with facility management, as well as college and departmental committee assignments.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: This position works directly with our Fraternity and Sorority Life Community, overseeing 10 fraternity/sorority housing units and serving as an advisor for at least one Greek council and other community building initiatives.
Community Development:
Works proactively toward creating an inclusive community atmosphere in which people respect each other’s rights, cultures, and sensitivities.
Develop, implement, manage, and assess student engagement and community development initiatives as well as Collaborate with other departments across the college through the Student & Campus Life.
Provides accurate advice and guidance to students based on their individual needs.
Establishes a schedule that is appropriate for a student-facing, residentially focused role. Schedules work hours that meet the needs of students inside the assigned community. This includes some evening and weekend hours essential for programs and training. Maintains a visible and active presence in their residence hall(s).
Actively engage with students and community through frequently attending community engagement and campus events, community walk throughs and open office hours.
Support specific community needs as associated with assigned residence halls, which could include fraternity/sorority housing, theme communities, the Minerva Program (our living learning community), and others.

Building Management:
Collaborate with Res Ed Leadership team regarding resident management operations (e.g., initiating and tracking space changes, making resident space assignments, annual room selection and re-selection process, summer conference housing, etc.).
Work cooperatively with Residence Life staff in coordinating move-in/move-out processes each term in assigned hall or apartment area.
Promotes fire safety through programs, inspections, and scheduled fire drills.
Ensures damages are reported and documented to the facilities department.
Routinely walks assigned residential areas to check for any facilities issues and submits work orders as needed.
Administration:
Oversee the daily operation of residential communities, including, check-in and checkout procedures, facility, and security management
Manages the budget for assigned staff, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses.

The primary function of the Military and Veteran Partnership Specialist position is to ensure a robust pipeline of prospective students by enhancing awareness of Excelsior University among local military installations, surrounding communities and veteran partners. Staff members in this role will engage with potential students at military installations in their area, as well as with veterans, military spouses, and other interested individuals in neighboring communities, through both in-person and virtual sessions to support them in the admissions and degree selection process. Additionally, staff members will proactively engage with various veteran and community-based partners. The Senior Director of Strategic Operations, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) has principal responsibilities for overall CLAS operations to ensure that critical tasks and projects stay on track in support of overall goal achievement and success. Finance and Budget

• Serve as primary liaison to all critical enablers that impact the operations of CLAS, with particular attention to coordination of activities with the Office of Project Management in order to ensure that key stakeholders are informed and consulted regarding projects that involve their areas of responsibility and that projects proceed in a way that ensures that key milestones and deliverables are met. Job Summary | The Laboratory Manager will direct daily operations of the Center for Environmental Stable Isotope Analysis (CESIA) research laboratory facilities. The Laboratory Manager will supervise and instruct users in the operation of equipment used to conduct research, and provide analytical services for external users. The Laboratory Manager will research and implement upgrades to laboratory systems consistent with contemporary research standards and maintain applicable systems and document maintenance of the systems. The Laboratory Manager will assist in developing new analytical methods and applications and analyzing specific sample sets as needed. The Laboratory Manager will provide technical guidance and research to support the facilities’ core faculty, students and other researchers and will serve as laboratory safety officer and liaison to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). |

Case Manager - PRC - Capital District
Hybrid
M-F Days with some flexibility needed based on client family needs.

As a Case Manager, Regional Permanency Resource Center you will provide supportive services and case management services to adoptive, guardianship and kinship families so they are able to make informed decisions with regards to services and supports that best meet their needs. You will report to the Case Manager Supervisor. The main office location for this hybrid role is Albany, New Karner Road and the Regional PRC Case Manager will be assigned various families within the 8 county region although the expectation for home visits is 2-3 total per week.You will work in a hybrid environment with some travel to client's homes in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Function as a systems navigator to families who have adopted or who have children in guardianship or kinship care through the provision of case management.
- Meet with families in their home to assess needs
- Assess needs, conduct service planning, service plan implementation, service coordination, monitoring and follow-up, reassessment and review with the family via in-home or community monthly visits. Services include but are not limited to information and referral services; referral to legal services; attendance at family court dates; transportation; housing assistance; childcare; basic family needs (vital needs in emergencies and with expenses that are unforeseen); educational advocacy services; and facilitating appointments with social services, medical health providers, and mental health services.
- Respond to the request for in home support referrals for resources and services
- Provide crisis intervention supports when needed
- Work with family to access needed respite services
- Conduct follow up contacts with families at prescribed intervals
- Participate in family engagement activities
- Co-lead support groups
- Participate in training programs offered by the program as assigned
- Use lived experience to empathize and provide hope. Preference for someone with experience with kinship, adoption or guardianship as a youth or in a parenting role.
- Maintain records including required data collection information according to the program standards and expectations. Case Managers must maintain Evolv record with progress notes and all pertinent documentation, a discharge summary and post-case closure documentation.
- Participate as a trainer in programs in the community, to increase understanding of the needs of families who have adopted or have children in guardianship or kinship care
- Complete risk assessments as required by Northern Rivers Quality Management Department
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s level degree in social work, psychology, or human services, or a bachelor’s level degree in any field with at least two years of case management experience; or an associate’s level degree in psychology or human services with at least two years of case management experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships
- A valid NYS drivers license

Description
As a Children's Health Home Care Manager, you will engage youth and families through outreach activities until enrollment into the Children's Health Home program. You will coordinate and monitor subsequent services to meet the needs of your members. You will report to a program supervisor, working in a hybrid model. Work will involve a combination of remote, office, and community-based settings. Local travel and personal transportation is required.
Responsibilities:
- Level I - Provides care management services to children with low and medium acuities. Care Manager will provide the required one or two services each month based on acuity and need. One of these contacts is to be in-person with the member.
- Level II - Provides care management services to low, medium, and high acuity members. Care Manager will provide a minimum of two services each month, one of which is to be in person with the member.
- Engage children, youth, and families with outreach and enrollment activities for successful enrollment into a children's health home
- Gather and complete assessments and enter documentation that confirms eligibility and acuity, identifying both strengths and areas of need
- Work w/children, youth, families, and service providers to create a comprehensive Plan of Care
- Identify and engage additional providers (e.g. natural supports, parent advocates, primary care physicians) with youth and families for the execution and continuation of the Plan of Care
- Convene and conduct Interdisciplinary team meetings to review Plan of Care; identifying progress, continued needs, and confirming ongoing eligibility
- Document progress and arrange for transitions between systems, placements, and higher levels of care following changes in eligibility and acuity.
- Use NY State and Health Home information systems to input required Health Home documentation
- Comply with Medicaid and program billing regulations
- Complete all required and recommended trainings
Requirements and Education:
- Level 1 - Requires an Associate's degree in Social Work or a related field, with 2 to 5 years of experience providing direct services to children, persons diagnosed with mental disabilities, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse.
- Level 2 - Requires a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, and two years of experience providing direct services to children, persons diagnosed with mental disabilities, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse.
- You have a valid driver's license and automobile that is insured following New York State Requirements
