As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Seek and obtain training in any particular area specific to the youth who requires 1:1care.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC1
You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers,including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

Clinician, Mobile Crisis - Days
Differential Pay Available!

As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will be providing crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Shift/Schedule:
- Fulltime; 5 days a week 8 hour shifts or 4 days a week 10 hour shifts
- Cross shifts: 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, or 12pm-8pm
- Part time hours available
- Weekend and holiday expectations
- When scheduled for a weekend shift your schedule will be 5, 8 hour shifts for that week
Requirements and Education:
- Looking for applicants with their LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, MSW-LP or MHC-LP licensure, must be license eligible and willing to apply for a limited permit in discipline upon hire
- Requires a Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience

As a Foster Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.

School Based Clinician

As an English /Language Arts Teacher, you will develop and implement the English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the principle and will work onsite.

- Provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts curricula and prepares students for exit examinations and statewide assessments.

As a Teacher in Training, you will be responsible for development of classroom instructional plans for students and support student's success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Principal and work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.

Clinician, Youth ACT
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus
As a Clinician in the Youth ACT program, you will help children avoid hospitalizations and out-of-home placements by providing intensive, community-based services to these youth and families. The youth served by Youth ACT have not found success in traditional mental health and community treatment. Our Clinicians are part of a tight-knit multi-disciplinary team that meets daily to provide medication treatment, therapy, skill building, and psychoeducational support to youth and families to meet all of their needs. You will report to the Director of Youth ACT and you will work on-site and in the community traveling to client's homes required.
Responsibilities:
- A shared caseload and ample supervision and support to provide intensive services to the 36 youth and families that the team serves overall, meeting the client where they are in the community, rather than in a clinical office setting.
- Specialized training in the Youth ACT model as well as the principles of person-centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, social determinants of health, cultural competence, implicit bias, and many other best practices.

Per Diem Clinician, Permanency Resource Center (PRC)
As a Per Diem Clinician, you will provide trauma-informed family therapy, child therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention as indicated to individuals, families and groups in a Permanency Resource Center. This can include outpatient individual or family therapy, group therapy, consultation to caregivers, and support to case managers. Work is designed to be short-term but will follow the needs of the family as written in their service plan. You will be assigned between 2 and 15 cases. Clinical Case Manager, Intensive Aftercare Prevention Program
As a Clinical Case Manager in the Intensive Aftercare Prevention Program, you will provide six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. - Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
