- Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.

As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Head of Resource Management provides leadership and management for the acquisitions of all materials, including providing access to holdings via the library’s discovery tools and knowledge base. They develop and manage the acquisitions budget in consultation and collaboration with the College Librarian and the Head of Collection Development, and they supervise acquisitions, continuations, and finance staff in the Resource Management unit. The incumbent participates in library-wide services and projects, such as instruction, workshops, and events for the diverse Union community.
Responsibilities
Organize and maintain access to the library’s print, electronic, streaming, and continuing resources in all formats using a variety of platforms, including the library’s electronic resource management systems, knowledge base, Library Services Platform, and user-facing discovery tools (Primo, LibGuides database A-Z list).

Qualifications
Master’s degree in library or information science from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited program and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and mastery of key knowledge competencies in next-generation integrated library systems or library services platforms, such as ProQuest/ExLibris’s Alma Administration Certification.

Position Title: Community Director

This is a full-time, twelve-month live-in position that includes a furnished on-campus apartment including utilities with responsibility of serving on-call and supporting evening and weekend activities.

Position Purpose:
Reporting to one of three Associate Directors, the Community Director (CD) is responsible for the comprehensive management of 1-2 residence halls or smaller cluster of houses, approximately 350 residents and supervising up to 12 student staff members. The CD serves as an active and visible residential life staff member that is responsible for facilitating an engaging building community-level residential experience that is highly relational; fosters curiosity and learning; centers well-being; and supports students in successfully finding their way. Primary duties and responsibilities include: implementing the residential engagement model, administration and supervision, support for student development, crisis management, student conduct administration, community development, collaboration with facility management, as well as college and departmental committee assignments.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: This position works directly with our Fraternity and Sorority Life Community, overseeing 10 fraternity/sorority housing units and serving as an advisor for at least one Greek council and other community building initiatives.
Community Development:
Works proactively toward creating an inclusive community atmosphere in which people respect each other’s rights, cultures, and sensitivities.
Develop, implement, manage, and assess student engagement and community development initiatives as well as Collaborate with other departments across the college through the Student & Campus Life.

The primary function of the Military and Veteran Partnership Specialist position is to ensure a robust pipeline of prospective students by enhancing awareness of Excelsior University among local military installations, surrounding communities and veteran partners. Staff members in this role will engage with potential students at military installations in their area, as well as with veterans, military spouses, and other interested individuals in neighboring communities, through both in-person and virtual sessions to support them in the admissions and degree selection process. The Data Reliability Engineer is an integral part of the Information Technology Services department (ITS), reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence (BI). Position Title: Fire Safety Inspector
Pay Status and Classification:Part-time, non-exempt. This is a 12-month position.
Supervisor: Director of Environmental Health & Safety
Position Purpose:Performs monthly inspections for fire and life safety devices located at College-owned properties.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Fire Extinguisher Inspections: Inspect fire extinguishers following the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 10 standards. Conduct minor repairs for extinguisher brackets and cases. Inform Fire Safety Compliance Officer about major repairs that are needed.
AED Inspections: Inspect Automatic Defibrillator Devices (AEDs) following the American Heart Association recommendations. Maintain batteries and supplies.
Carbon Monoxide Detector Inspections:Test plug-in carbon monoxide detectors that are not connected to the Campus Safety notification system.
Reporting: Maintains inspection spreadsheet on Google Sheets file. Report fire code violations observed in the inspection areas to the Fire Safety Compliance Officer. Participate in weekly Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a combination of relevant training, certifications and\or work experience.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
Must be safety-conscious and be able to professionally communicate with a diverse group of campus community members.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs frequently.
Ability to do extensive walking on campus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), state and local fire and building codes.
Fire safety training and experience.

Job Summary | The Sr. Student Services Administrator works with the MBA/MS program Director(s), and the Manager of Student Services to develop programs that will cultivate the student experience from prospect to alumni. As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
