Position Title: Academic Advisor/Tutor Coordinator Of AOP/HEOP
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular Full-time

Position Purpose:
The Academic Advisor/Tutor Coordinator of AOP/HEOP helps provide leadership and administrative support for two educational opportunity programs that have existed at the College since 1969.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Student Advising:Provide advising services for a caseload of approximately 50 students. This includes social, career, financial, and academic advising. First-year students meet weekly with their Academic Advisor; sophomores and juniors have a minimum meeting requirement of twice per term; seniors once per term. Advising hours and notes must be logged for required state reporting and interdepartmental communication.
Management of the AOP Tutoring Program: Management includes hiring and training Tutors and Tutor Coordinators; establishing policies and procedures for the implementation of tutoring; processing of tutor time sheets and tutor reports; coordinating room reservations; gathering tutoring data from other campus departments; and overseeing data collection and input of tutoring hours for HEOP reporting. Also, to build cooperation and collaboration with other departments.
Management of the Peer Assistance Link (PAL) program: This includes the process of pairing incoming first-years with Upperclass students based on survey data; organizing a “meet & greet” event for all PAL participants at the start of fall term; planning one event per term for all mentors and mentees; identifying PAL mentor/mentee award recipients for AOP Year End Celebration; and conducting assessment of the program.
Reporting: Assist with required reporting for bi-annual HEOP reports to the New York State Education Department. This includes documentation of advising services as well as student performance and achievement, and entering relevant data and notes into reports. Will assist with other data collection and input as necessary.
AOP/HEOP Summer Program: Assist the Director with the planning and implementation of the five week AOP/HEOP Summer Program for approximately 30 incoming AOP/HEOP students. This can include hiring summer faculty and staff, providing staff training, collecting student data, compiling the schedule, arranging presentations and workshops, organizing weekend activities, and being on-call for emergencies.
Coordinate events and workshops for AOP/HEOP students: In collaboration with other AOP/HEOP staff, identify desired events, workshops, and information to provide for students and help facilitate their implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years experience and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience with access programs designed for underprepared and/or underrepresented students.
Possess demonstrated skills in advising and presenting/public speaking.
Candidate should be proficient in using software for program management, data collection, and program assessment.
Masters degree preferred.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $26.00-$28.00 per hour. Position Title: Director of International Student Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation and Compliance: Issues immigration documents and processes applications through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Maintains accurate records of international students immigration documentation within SEVIS and College systems. Ensures compliance with federal regulations and College policies pertaining to international students. Guides students through new employee hiring processes for on-campus employment, including applying for a social security number. Programming and Engagement: Oversees the development and execution of orientation programs for new international students. Works with other departments to provide tailored programming to ensure students understand Title IX, the Code of Conduct, and the Honor Code. Creates and implements initiatives beyond orientation that support the retention, well-being, and academic success of international students. Collaborates with campus partners to enhance career readiness, wellness, cultural exchange, and social engagement opportunities.
Administration:Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy for international student services. Maintains and updates policies and procedures. Produces departmental communications, including newsletters, website content, and student resources. Manages the department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Manages programming and event logistics. Actively participates in professional development on the regulations governing international students about College policies and procedures that ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and experience working with international students in higher education, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident in order to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), as required by federal regulations.
Strong knowledge of SEVIS, F-1 and J-1 visa regulations, and international student compliance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Head of Resource Management provides leadership and management for the acquisitions of all materials, including providing access to holdings via the library’s discovery tools and knowledge base. They develop and manage the acquisitions budget in consultation and collaboration with the College Librarian and the Head of Collection Development, and they supervise acquisitions, continuations, and finance staff in the Resource Management unit. The incumbent participates in library-wide services and projects, such as instruction, workshops, and events for the diverse Union community.
Responsibilities
Organize and maintain access to the library’s print, electronic, streaming, and continuing resources in all formats using a variety of platforms, including the library’s electronic resource management systems, knowledge base, Library Services Platform, and user-facing discovery tools (Primo, LibGuides database A-Z list).
Manage workflows and staff for the acquisition and financial workflows necessary to maintain a robust library collection in all formats.
Manage and supervise the acquisitions process (purchasing, receiving/activation, and invoicing) of library materials in all formats and oversee the maintenance of order records in the library services platform and other local files.
Maintain coverage files and troubleshoot access and authentication issues.
Ensure timely follow-through on purchase, renewal, withdrawal, and cancellation decisions; monitor and approve bill payments; anticipate annual budget expenditures and monitor expenses for collections.
Manage and provide bibliographic, contact, financial, license, and other administrative information for individual purchases and continued commitments; compile and generate usage, financial, and other business reports.
Maintain and apply knowledge of the publishing environment and information management trends to the development and continuous improvement of processing workflows.
Contribute to discussions of selections, consortial arrangements, license reviews, and vendor negotiations.
Maintain expertise in the library services platform and serve as in-house reference for workflow creation and improvements.
Contribute actively to the discussion and planning for all aspects of Content & Digital Library Systems and the library’s service to the diverse Union community, outside library users, and visiting researchers; contribute to, and provide leadership in, various departmental and library-wide committees and working groups.

Qualifications

This is a full-time, twelve-month live-in position that includes a furnished on-campus apartment including utilities with responsibility of serving on-call and supporting evening and weekend activities.

Position Purpose:
Reporting to one of three Associate Directors, the Community Director (CD) is responsible for the comprehensive management of 1-2 residence halls or smaller cluster of houses, approximately 350 residents and supervising up to 12 student staff members. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: This position works directly with our Fraternity and Sorority Life Community, overseeing 10 fraternity/sorority housing units and serving as an advisor for at least one Greek council and other community building initiatives.
Community Development:

Manages office supply inventory and reconciles the accounts payable process for various orders/purchasing needs. Reports and manages any facility or IT needs for the office. Tracks participation in all programs and events, maintains the data, and generates statistical reports to provide key metrics to support the annual Career Center assessment of results including producing the Annual Report. Manages the first destination data collection process including using Qualtrics, coordinating participation in the Pre-Commencement Fair, and collaborating with the Office of Institutional Research. Maintains the accuracy and security of highly confidential student, alumni and employer data by collaborating with other departments including ITS, Dean of Students, and Registrar’s office.
Provides superior customer service for the Career Center and collaborates with the team to support office operations, including budget management. Oversees career management systems and other platforms. Partners with employer relations to facilitate employer/alumni engagement with a specific focus on increasing the quantity, quality and variety of job/internship opportunities and programs. Qualifications:

Job Summary | Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Research and working collaboratively with the Office for Research staff, the Research Development Specialist (RDS) will work with faculty, staff, departments, centers, and programs to pursue research funding opportunities. The RDS will support development of proposals—particularly large or complex proposals in our focus areas of computation, materials and manufacturing, microelectronics, energy and sustainability, life sciences and technology, and fundamental knowledge. The RDS will develop a working knowledge of funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and Department of Energy and will provide guidance and support in funding agency outreach, team building, and all steps in proposal development, including providing editing and feedback on proposal documents. The RDS will liaise with Research Administration and Finance (RAF) and unit business administrators and support staff to ensure timely submission of proposal packages. The RDS will build and maintain a database of faculty research areas, develop tools, guidance documents, and training workshops related to proposal development, and support strategic initiatives in the Office for Research. |
