They manage policies, procedures, and support services to enhance students’ academic, personal, and professional development, campus and community affinity, overall well-being, and safety. They direct staff in overseeing programs, functions, events, and activities related to the student experience. The Dean of Students serves as a liaison to academic and administrative departments regarding student conduct, rights, and responsibilities. Job Summary | The Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a faculty position in Game Development to begin Fall 2024, to teach courses in game design, development, and production. Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice, with a multi-year, renewable contract. |
Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must possess an MFA, PhD, or foreign equivalent in Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. They will demonstrate proficiency in one or more game engines, along with a robust background in project management and production processes within the gaming industry. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. A Professor of Practice has obtained unique professional experience, has distinguished research, and/or has performed at an executive or officer level, and has made a significant impact within the field of games. Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF U.S. HISTORY
The History Department at Union College invites applications for a one-year visiting appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor with an emphasis on US History. This position will begin in Fall 2024. Union College is a leading national liberal arts college deeply committed to undergraduate education.
The college is located in New York’s capital region, a metropolitan area of over one million people. Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $67,000 - $69,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Temporary Summer Assistant - Advancement Information Services
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Temporary. This is a summer position (8-10 weeks) and Union College students are encouraged to apply. This position is an onsite position and not eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Supervisor: Assistant Director of Advancement Information Services
Start Date: This position is estimated to start on or after June 22nd.
Position Purpose: Provides support to the Advancement Information Services team by assisting with data entry, web searches, project support and various administrative tasks. Provides flexible support as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Locator Services: Conducts web searches to locate and update alumni information including addresses, phone numbers, employment details and graduate school information. Researches updates on corporate partners.
- Database Entry: Updates the database with the latest information from the locator service and other campus departments.
- Project Support: Utilizes Excel and Google Sheets to manage projects efficiently. Creates pivot tables as necessary to analyze and present data effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use and learn new software quickly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team atmosphere.
