Job Summary | The Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a faculty position in Game Development to begin Fall 2024, to teach courses in game design, development, and production. Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice, with a multi-year, renewable contract. |
Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must possess an MFA, PhD, or foreign equivalent in Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. They will demonstrate proficiency in one or more game engines, along with a robust background in project management and production processes within the gaming industry. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. A Professor of Practice has obtained unique professional experience, has distinguished research, and/or has performed at an executive or officer level, and has made a significant impact within the field of games. A Professor of Practice is expected to have substantial leadership experience of at least (10-15 years) and generally a national or international reputation for excellence in their field of expertise. Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. |

Job Summary | The International Exchange Visitor Specialist provides immigration advising and assistance for all J-1 visa holding visiting scholars and their dependents. The Specialist assists the Director with institutional compliance as related to the Exchange Visitors; including, reporting and monitoring data in the Student and Immigration Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and in Terra Dotta software. The Specialist is the point person for academic departments requesting visiting scholars and export control, in order to facilitate and streamline the processes for hosting international scholars. Job Summary | Reporting to the Director of Environmental and Site Services, the Associate Director, Site Services is responsible for day-to-day management, productivity, and accountability of all staff within Landscape, Athletic Fields, Garage Moving, and Recycling/Waste removal. Job Summary | The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2025, at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, from scholars who work in areas at the cutting edge of finance, quantitative finance, financial economics, and/or financial analytics, as they pertain to the digital transformation of the financial services industry. Candidates must have a PhD degree in a relevant business discipline from an accredited university along with demonstrated evidence of producing original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join Lally either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate courses in basic and advanced topics in analytics for finance and accounting, as well as provide service to the Lally School of Management and to Rensselaer. Job Summary | The Director of Auxiliary, Parking, and Transportation Services provides strategic direction to several of the Institute’s auxiliary programs which include campus hospitality services, the vending and residential laundry programs, the Campus Card Office, the Parking and Transportation Office, Central Receiving/Stockroom, Mail Services and Pat’s Barn. As a Skillbuilder, you will provide targeted skill training to help with independent living and social skills. Goals that the Skill Builder will work on could be Career Planning, Self-Care, Daily Living, Housing, and Money Management, including establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, how to accept no as an answer, handling conflict with peers and authority figures, and using their coping skills when feeling dysregulated. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work onsite.

- Ability to work with diverse consumers who have mental health challenges and may be developmentally delayed. Understand their independent living needs to work with the case manager to find resources in the community for educational and vocational skills and programming for discharge.

As a Wendy's Wonderful Kids Recruiter, you will engage in diligent efforts to help older children with a permanency goal of adoption to achieve their goal and to develop permanent and sustainable relationships with caring adults. . You will report to the Director of Foster Care and work onsite with travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with Department of Social Services staff to identify youth for referrals to the WWK program.
- Review the case record, interview the youth, caseworker, other agency staff with knowledge of the case and any available family members and/or other supportive connections to assist in the recruitment process.
- Meet with the youth on a monthly basis and assess their readiness and feelings about being adopted.
- Meet with family members and supportive connections to discuss the progress of locating permanent resources for the youth.
- Assist with the development and coordination of the transition plan with the youth and matched family. Work with the youth and family during the transition process to assist with placement support.
- Work in conjunction with the caseworker to ensure that the adoptive family is working towards adoption finalization.
- Attend educational opportunities provided by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption including, but not limited to: WWK classroom training, database training, webinars, and the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Summit hosted by the Foundation.
- Maintain any required paperwork, assessments and plans as outlined in the WWK evidenced based model.

Position description:
The Department of Psychology at Union College, Schenectady, New York, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in Neuroscience. We encourage applications from individuals with identities historically underrepresented in the sciences. Ability to teach, advise, and mentor a diverse population of undergraduates is essential. Area of research specialization is less important than research that is programmatic and theoretically directed toward understanding the human brain. Areas of research that would complement our existing department include any using neuroscientific and/or computational neuroscientific approaches to study: sensation and perception; cognition broadly; memory; complex cognition; diversity; culture; social/emotional cognition; judgment and decision making; and/or neuroeconomics.
Ideally, our new colleague will offer courses at a variety of levels including including a combination of at least some of the following: introductory psychology, statistics, introductory neuroscience, lab courses in cognitive neuroscience and/or sensation and perception, as well as an upper-level neuroscience seminar within the applicant’s domain. We also welcome a colleague with the ability to provide a psychological or neuroscientific perspective on topics that contribute to the College's general education curriculum, including courses that contribute to students' understanding of and appreciation for Global Challenges and Justice, Equity, Identity, and Difference.
