Description
- Engagement with parents/caregivers identified by Schenectady School District as needing additional community support.
- Provide families with information pertaining to resources in the community for services, ongoing support and linkages.
- Assist parents/caregivers in identifying any barriers to accessing community resources.
- Assist parents/caregivers with documentation and other steps needed to access resources and support from either public or private entities.
- Provide strategies and intervention suggestions to parents/caregivers whose challenges create safety concerns for their children.
- Coordinate and collaborate with school personnel so that efforts to support the parent/caregiver are not duplicated.
- Participate in regular team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Guide individual fundraisers and development staff by providing recommendations for potential major donors for cultivation and solicitation. Analyze data to help drive prospect discovery and prioritize the top prospective donors for qualification by development staff. Create lists on an ad-hoc basis as requested by prospect development team members or fundraising partner to support fundraising initiatives by incorporating the use of database segmentation analysis, external resources, electronic screenings, and peer-review/focus group results. Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. In addition, the Specialist acts as the Building Coordinator for the Troy Building; is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the offices on the 3rd and 4th floors designated to the President; ensures that office supplies and equipment are inventoried and maintained; and ensures that electronic and paper records are filed and/or destroyed as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must possess an MFA, PhD, or foreign equivalent in Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. They will demonstrate proficiency in one or more game engines, along with a robust background in project management and production processes within the gaming industry. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. A Professor of Practice has obtained unique professional experience, has distinguished research, and/or has performed at an executive or officer level, and has made a significant impact within the field of games. Job Summary | The Groundskeeper performs grounds and landscape duties, snow removal and equipment operations associated with the maintenance of the campus grounds and athletic fields and support all campus wide events. |
Minimum Qualifications | High School/Equivalent and one (1) year of experience in landscape maintenance including operation of grounds related equipment Valid US driver’s license Relevant combinations of education, training and experience will be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience in operating snow removal equipment |

Job Summary | The Department of Communication and Media at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Speech Communication, beginning in August 2024. The candidate would join a dynamic, growing faculty researching communication and media from a broad range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields. |
Minimum Qualifications | Candidates must possess a PhD in speech communication, rhetoric/persuasion, debate, political communication, legal rhetoric or a related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement in and/or commitment to speech communication, rhetoric/persuasion, debate, political communication, legal rhetoric, or freedom of speech. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience in and/or commitment to public-facing, participatory, or community-engaged scholarship is desirable. |
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Applicants must have a record of research and scholarly publications as well as evidence of successful collegiate teaching at the time of appointment. |

Job Summary | The Dean of Students, reporting to the Vice Provost for Student Experience, ensures a dynamic living and learning environment that contributes to students’ intellectual agility, multicultural sophistication, and global view. They manage policies, procedures, and support services to enhance students’ academic, personal, and professional development, campus and community affinity, overall well-being, and safety. They direct staff in overseeing programs, functions, events, and activities related to the student experience. The Dean of Students serves as a liaison to academic and administrative departments regarding student conduct, rights, and responsibilities. The Dean of Students is to serve as a resource to faculty, parents, staff, alumni/ae, and to the community in matters related to Rensselaer students. |
Minimum Qualifications | Master’s Degree required in higher education administration, student personnel, or related field Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in student affairs with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, including experience serving at the Dean/ Director level.
